Turn off the damn guest-tagging.
It's supposed to be quick and informative.
Five pages of "Guest is viewing..." and 1 page of actual members is bull****.
-
Wow, someone else who actually uses (or even knows about) this feature!
And I agree, get rid of guests from the list.
-
Quick workaround. Sort it by name and go to the last page. Guests show up first.
-
Hm...can't you reorganize? lol...*tries*
EDIT:
Yes you can.
Click "User" twice to bring all users to the front page :)
-
Not the point.
Not at all the point.
Infact, it's so far off the point, I could legally label it the 'blunt'. In a non-weed context.
-
Could someone do this, please?
-
Maybe. How should we do it?

I don't think we should get rid of guests...just group all members and sort the guests in the remaining pages.
-
Well somebody's going to have to post the code, because every thing I try causes the guests to be removed but the number of pages to stay the same; i.e. the list isn't compacted. And unfortunately I don't have the time to spare to fiddle with it right now.
-
Huh?
There's the code right in that topic I linked to. It is in an attachment and you need to login to view attachments.
-
Okay, how do you like the who's online view now?
Edit: Hmh, not quite there yet, let's see what's wrong...
-
I think it's way better.
Don't want to be picky, I'm just putting stuff out there but can we be able to go from page to page from the top as-well? :)
EDIT: You probably knew this but when you try to collapse the guest or bots it always collapses the members
-
Does this refer to the list at the bottom of the main page
-
yea...but what's with all the "spiders"?
-

Not planning to add such a feature, not at this time anyway.

Collapse? What do you mean? It doesn't collapse, clicking on "User"-link sorts in alphabetical or reverse alphabetical order. Not planning to change that.
The thing that's wrong currently in the listing, is that members, guests and spiders are spread all over the pages. I'm trying to have members sorted first, then guests and finally spiders. I'm not that good with PHP so it is taking me a while to figure out how to do it.
-
Ok that would be cool. :)
Weird cause I got them to collapse
Oh, well...
-
And the members are spread out over the pages, as are the guests.
-

Spiders are robots (programs run on servers) that search a site so that search engines can display results from the site that they are "crawling". Basically, indexing the site's contents for use in their search engine.

Does that mean that an anonymous user is logged into HLP as a "Google Spider" if he enters HLP from the Search Results on Google?

Oops :nervous:

Ahm, those (anonymous users) would be either:
a) guests (shown as "guests")
b) users (prolly admins) who wish to remain hidden (shown as "hidden" without username)
-
I like the effort made to fix this, but it's still no good: Each page is still divided into up to three sections, instead of putting all of the users of each type into the same section, putting these sections in order, etc.
-
And the users are spread over all the pages, as I already pointed out.
-
Well, it IS an improvement over the huge mess there was before.
-
No, not really. Now you can't even sort it manually.

I just click on "users" and it shows me all the users

:bump:
It seems the changes here have been reverted. :(
