It looks like an honest-to-god sequel to Red Faction 1, with gameplay types that might actually take advantage of geo-mod. Most importantly it's a PC release.
Could be promising.

An open game world with a good physics engine? Never gonna happen. :doubt:

Most importantly it's a PC release port.
Gamespy also shows it coming for the XBox 360 and PS3, and judging from the switch to third-person perspective (among other bits in the preview), it's likely being designed for the consoles first and the PC as an afterthought. Sounds like they're just reusing the Red Faction moniker for a Gears of War clone.

I'm told Saints Row was a poor GTA clone too. Shame, what V have been reduced too if all that is true.
Just ordered the original RedFaction on ebay too, incidentally.

I aquired it recently too, fun game, but the whole geomod thing was very inconsistant, and the last mission was insanely hard.
I won the game with 1 health

:bump:
played the demo recently, its nice, does exactly what i wanted to do in BF:BC (drive straight through a building), i can hardly imagine what insane fun MP would be...until everything is leveled, that is.

half the MP fun in RF1 was making tunnels...

That wasn't a bump, it was necrothreadcy.

That's what this thread is about. Red Faction Guerilla comes out this week.

I find the power packs really ruin the game. :wtf:
