Title: What's wrong here?
Post by: Talon 1024 on April 05, 2008, 07:39:21 pm
Well, it seems that whenever I open a model in PCS2 and try to place a Weapon point, it crashes right away.

I didn't put this in mantis because I know it's a problem with the computer I'm using, since it works just fine on the other computer I have.

I don't really know what's going on here, since I have all the required DLLs.  So can anyone help me?

Smells like this bug:
http://ferrium.org/mantis/view.php?id=63

Does your system have anything in common with Akalebeth's in that bug report?

Quote from: relevent bits
Graphics Card: Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family
GPU: i945G Revision: A2
CPU: Intel Pentium D 805
Chipset: Intel i945G/GZ Rev: A2
Memory: DDR2 1024 MBytes

And what OS are you using?
Also, can you go to Options>Query OpenGL and post the results here?

I dunno, the same problem happened to me and at least one other guy on the forum. And it's not just weapon points, it's dock points, thruster points, . . . whatever other points there are. Might be the video card, just maybe try to get them all the info you can on your system??? Dunno.

EDIT - oh yeah, see VasAdm knows about my problems too

Oh, and VA I'll get you that info later. I'm at work right now not on my home computer.

That is exactly the problem.

Here is the output from the OpenGL query:

Code: [Select]
OpenGL Version is "1.4.0 - Build 4.14.10.4384"
Vender is "Intel"
Renderer is "Intel 915GM"

@VA: I am using Windows XP.

Ah, well there's a start at least - you both seem to have integrated intel video cards, so maybe it's out of date drivers. Are there any more up to date ones around?
