A New Jersey high school student has been suspended for allegedly drawing up a hit list which included the names of "three students and a school administrator" and, rather ill-advisedly, roundhouse-kicking death machine Chuck Norris.
According to the Philadephia Enquirer, the unnamed Pennsauken High School 16-year-old was arrested and charged with "making terroristic threats" after a teacher discovered the list. Pennsauken police "found no weapons on the student or in his locker", a school statement explained, and he was subsequently released to his parents.
The suspension was part of a "zero-tolerance" crackdown on bad behaviour in the school on Tuesday, which also saw 14 other ne'er-do-wells out on their ears for a range of offences. A spokeswoman said: "The kids will not be allowed to take control of the building. It's getting to the point where it's an embarrassment."
The hit list teen will remain suspended pending a disciplinary hearing, and may be expelled.
So on one hand we have Chuck Norris and on the other we have some whining 16-year old. Well I suppose it's more original that sticking the gun barrel in your mouth and pulling the trigger at the end of your killing spree.

"terroristic threats" eh?

That's just to get Chuck in the right frame of mind. We all know that Chuck Norris + Terrorist = Arsekicking. :D

Something like that is likely to happen in Italy, the Cult of Chuck Norris has reached galactic levels

"thought crime" anyone ?

Great! Thats the way to handle any problem - get-it-out-of-sight.
Let's see.. why would anyone abide to the rules/laws/whatever set by a government or a community of any kind?
I think there are about four reasons, roughly:
1. the person agrees to the rules and respects them
2. the person doesn't really care about the rules, but exploits them for his/her own purposes
3. the person is forced by power to do so (incl. powerless to do anything else)
4. the person doesn't give a ****
Its quite hard to see how #1 could thrive, when the "rules" become a set of jokes made by clowns.
I guess many have gone by the mixture of #1 and #2, but the Great Mindlessness is having its toll even on this group.
So, as #1 and #2 cannot but shrink, the future indeed seems bright, as #3 and #4 will be it for the great part of the populace in the future.

No, that's right. Canada is the center of the universe.
How did they not realize it was a joke when they saw Chuck Norris on it?

To a dark place this line of thought leads us......
Seriously this is a very slippery slope we're on.

just like communists before us, and witches before them.

Schools have been doing this since way before 9/11. I -almost- got suspended for having a similar hitlist... with no names on it whatsoever. Just certain school subjects and other inanimate objects or behaviors that annoyed me. You would not believe the amount of trouble they went through to try to pin me on something. School administrations have a tendency to go on power trips. Sure, kids that age are annoying, but seriously... they throw their weight around like they're every kid is out to personally get them. There's politicians everywhere..... On the other hand, I can understand schools being a bit on edge with the recent shooting sprees and all. They just need to learn when to use the label "terrorist" and when not to.

Maybe they brought it up and he started frothing at the mouth and shouting about Walker, Texas Ranger. :D

No, that's right. Canada is the center of the universe.
Especially thanks to its cultural and moral legacy...there's a piece of Canada basically everywhere...

Which is good.

I got hauled in before the school cop because I once said that I could have shot people if I liked, and really wanted to go to the trouble of it...but I didn't care to.
Go figure. I said I wouldn't for chrissakes.

I brought a knife to school in 3rd grade like 15 years ago. I didn't intend to harm anyone, it was a decorative fancy knife I wanted to show some friends. If that were today, a swat team would have taken me down.
-
Same here. I brought a Gerber in grade primary, for the same purpose, and they almost called the police.

I want to become an Ace. I want to kill at least 5 people
