I was messing around with the table files and made a ship that was more to my liking, it has a top speed of 120 and has a rotation speed of 1 sec in each of the axis. To balance it out I gave it light shielding (120 I think) and no bomb/missile capacity. It is also incapable of carrying all of the big hitting cannons. What I wanted to know was if any of you ship buffs thought this sounds like cheating or does it balance well?
Oh yeah, I edited the myrmadon slot.

Thanks for moving this thread guys, sorry about the hassle.
Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas about the ship?

You mean like a hit and run interceptor?

Sounds fairly interesting. I'd like to give it a go. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

I've created a ship like that with a lot less manouvering and given it 60 shields and hits each...still too easy. Give it crappy compatibility and only 2 weapon banks with a tiny secondary capacity and now you're talking. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

I think "hit and run interceptor" is a bit of a tame description for it. It's basically a pilot controlled missle (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
I dunno though, it's frighteningly maneuverable, fighting against computer opponents that are using it is very hard. One hit from an anti fighter beam and it's all over, it may be a little too weak.

You should talk with Sushi bout the Velocity Mod. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
