I have two alternatives for the mainhall, mostly for those with not-so-high-end systems who suffer from the low framerate due to the BABYLON STATION ANIMATION.
The ISN Mainhall
http://free.pages.at/skullar/addon-ISN-Mainhall.zip
Low resolution is Io,Static background with picture of EF1 approaching transfer point Io. Simple Door Anims.
high resolution replaced with ISN newsroom, made from the newsroom scene from "severed dreams"
The reporters are animated, and we have an ISN newsroom ticker that is easily modified and could convey REAL information.
For presentation purposes, it currently features funny "news" only, but they should give a few laughs so far....
Have fun !

P.S.... Since I just CANT, can someone who downloaded post a screenshot ?

Can you repackage those as vp file please Skullar. Thanks.
-
Actually, I tried. It didnt work. I dont know what I am doing wrong. In the DATA folder the stuff works, as a VP file TBP seems to ignore it !!!
I have no idea why.
I have a version of Kazan's VP constructor suite ( or what it name was ) . I can make VPs, but as I said.....
-
Did you remember to give a good name to the vp? If it's on the rear end of the alphabets, it will most likely be ignored by the engine. Adding a's or something like 00- at the beginning of the file name does wonders.
-
I will give it a try. The links here - extracted to data - do work so far....
I wont be able to upload stuff before tomorrow evening, so, if you have some smart ideas for the newsticker in the meantime... :)
I think news on upcoming releases or general requests would do fine...
-
Use vpmake and give the vp a name which is alphabetically before the core file you're trying to override. For example. "a-mainhall-patch-for-TBP-34b.vp".
-
updated the link above.
. Just unzip and put vp-file in TBP main directory.

Well done getting the vps working dude ;)

Sorry. Haven't been able to test, because reinstalling TBP is currently on my to-do pile. And has been for a while.
