Title: Notice: Node Wars
Post by: Kamikaze on February 18, 2002, 04:37:36 pm: Okay Node War has resarted and we have plenty of open slots for any members who want to join.

The rules are like so:
*Create an empire, have an average of 4-6 star systems. Choose any numbered system.

*Write an OOB (Order of Battle) for your faction, following the format of the following post.

*Each empire has one free perk, and additional perks come with a disadvantage. Technologies beyond the default qualify as a perk.

*No aliens, the species the players may choose or control are Terran or Vasudan. This means no space monsters, Shivans, Shadows, or Jedi folks.

Post by: delta_7890 on February 19, 2002, 09:02:35 pm: It's really not that hard. To set up an emipre, select about 4-6 systems. Name them, tell us the population, planet #s, ect. Name the Empire, set the currency, and give yourself one free advantage. You can have more, but for each additional advantage, you must include a disadvantage. Afterwards, all that's left is to create your military! Cap-ships, fighters, you give the stats, such as weapons, armor and shield levels, and how many are in your fleet. You can develop your empire's story however you want. Want to be the power-hungry dictator? Fine. Want to be the peace-loving diplomat? Sure thing! Possabilities are endless, so long as you don't power-game. Oh, and one last thing, NO ALIEN RACES! :D

More like 380 ;)

BlueLion you could even just be a Captain of a small ship and do a post every day or two on how your fleet is doing, what the head of your military yelled at you to do, etc.

One easy post a day is all that's needed even to run an empire ;)

That would Cobalt! The HTML mastermind behind this very site, along with the Array (which needs to be updated with more renders. Work, Steak, work!).

Besides, notice how when both of us stop doing renders for a few weeks you all get a new forum and several background projects start to get looked at again? ;)

Yep, Cobalt and I did the Array together. I designed it, and he did this really l33t HTML-ification on it. I still never figured out how he did it so quickly... :D

Read the story, take a look at the OOB's, write one up, post it, well pick it to pieces and your in. Or alternatively, you could join up wiht one of the existing empires
