Are those Nightmare vessels they had on Hades Combine still somewhere available?
-
I guess they're not on FSMods...
Most ships should be easy to find if you ask. I'm afraid one of the latest designs(a cruiser, I think) is uncommon here.
I only hope it didn't get lost!
-
Guess who has them on his HDD....
guess whos 900th post this is....

Hm... is it maybe that very same guy who could possibly upload them on FSM? ;)
-
Too late, I beat him to it.
And I included the hard-to-find weapons table data.
I uploaded them in a pack. It's under "Miscellaneous".
-
i thought Aldo didn't like being reminded about those...
-
He doesn't, for good reason.
-
What's wrong with them, exactly? I think they're pretty decent as far as ships go, and the weapons are just amazing. Very fun to build missions with.
-
They're kinda ugly.
-
They're fairly old if I recall and created before hi-poly ships were around.
-
Check on F2S.
The Nightmare Fighter, Bomber, Cruiser, Carrier and Destroyer are there. The weapons aren't, though.
---
Edit: Possible Hijack, but related:
Well, I was made some new glow and shine maps for the Nightmare ships...except, they don't work in game. (ok, the Shine maps do, the glow maps don't.)
They show up fine in PCS2, but when I load up the game and view them in the techroom or in the shiplab, they're invisible. Any ideas why this is happening?
Edit2: Dumb me. My *.dds files weren't the right dimensions >.> *slaps self* Well, anyone want nightmares with purple glow maps?
-
why not?
and i'll have to look at those weapons. Is it as simple as tossing the appropriate stuff in the right folder, fredding something simple, then playing to test them out? or do i need to edit tables... which is easy, but time consuming...
-
The weapons are in .tbm form, and all the Nightmares basic table data has them using the special weapons, so installing the Nightmares as ships and placing the weapons into your tables folder should work just fine.
-
There are some table inconsistencies, however.
Notably, the Nightmare Slashing Beam referenced by the Nightmare Carrier is called "NSlash", but it reality it should be VioletSlash (or vice versa), the Ship and Weapon table entries don't agree.
-
I noticed that, and on my own copies I changed the weapon names.
However, the files I uploaded were unaltered. :blah:
Oops.
