Title: Problem with textures in OpenGL Mode
Post by: Viperb0y on May 17, 2008, 06:07:41 am
Hi,

I have a problem with my textures in OpenGL mode. They look like this at some (most) models:

Can anyone tell me what this is?

It is the Zebra Ships of DoomTM syndrome, that appears, when a person has a certain Nvidia graphics card and certain drivers for it. Some people have found this build (http://fs2source.warpcore.org/exes/latest/taylor/20071028-win32.rar) to be useful.

Hi,

works perfectly! Thanks!

Is it a problem if I use the FS2 version i got with the installer and use the "newer" .exe? And can I download then the new MediaVP files for .10 :)?

P.S. Got a Geforce 7600GT and the newest stable drivers.

If you mean FS2.exe and Freespace2.exe, there is no real reason to use them, since they are the retail exes and using them will leave you without all the beautiful things made possible by FSO.

If you mean the other fs2_open builds, you can use them, but as I said, this one should fix the stripe issue.

You can download the 3.6.10 Beta MediaVPs, but note that they are beta and still contain a few bugs. Details on how to make FSO as pretty as possible can be found in this thread (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,53294.0.html).
