Title: New Vasudan Ships
Post by: Woomeister on March 14, 2001, 03:52:00 pm
Can anyone tell me where I can get new Vasudan fighters and capital ships. I especially need a cruiser or a destroyer for my campaign. I've only found new Vasudan Installations but I need other things.

Dark has made alot of Vasudan ships (a cruiser, a bomber, a scout and a fighter IIRC), but he is not releasing them to the public (yet). Email him at  [email protected]  (I think that address is correct) and ask him. I don't see why he wouldn't be able to give them to you.

Yeah I saw the renders he did of them. Like the new Apollo too. I made a winamp skin of that  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
I'll Email him when I get the time.

Yep, he has the Apollo Mk2, a fighter; the Maahes, a bomber; the Scarab, which I presumed was a scout; and a Vasudan cruiser, of which I forget the name. Naturally, they look great.  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

If I may, don't bother asking him.  I already did, and he told me to wait until AoD (or the demo) is out.

Nah, trust me, there is something in the pipeline. However he's not doing it for the community, he's doing it for himself - so no amount of shouting from us is going to speed it up at all. He doesn't really care about demand, he does it on his own schedule - which is kinda bad for us, because there's a lot of cool stuff we could all benefit from if he were more active in the community.

There's a lot more being worked on there than you can imagine. Trust me.

Righto I just made a mod of the GVC Aten called the GVBC Neith. It's an anti-fighter beam cruiser with shields!
You can get V0.9 here.
 http://members.tripod.co.uk/SocWoo/Downloads.htm ("http://members.tripod.co.uk/SocWoo/Downloads.htm")
It still only has six turrets but can do a lot of damage. However I need someone to reskin it for me. Post a reply here and I'll give you my E-mail. It looks like the Aten right now. It also has no shield icon. It uses standard AAAF beams at the moment. I'll release the complete version here once it's finnished.
