I was just wondering. I'm planning on going to nuclear engineering.
-
(un)professional bum, at the moment.
I'm thinking about taking a bartending course and bartending when I get back home.
-
Currently an Architecture student.
-
I am really into mechanical engineering and astrophysics, so I will definitely do a ph.d in one of those, but I have not decided between those two yet. I will pretty much pick up any job that pays well and allows me to work on the subject matter without dealing with people too much. ;):D
-
Corporate Maniac :D (no, seriously)
-
I work in a meat packing plant, but I'm working my way up to evil overlord
but I'd like to spend a good chunck of time before then developing games, and get paid for it for a change
-
I'm currently learning Dreamweaver 4 and applying that knowlege to the new website my neighbour is paying me to build for his company... easy money! :D
-
First job: Working at a butcher makeing meat balls and hamburgers.
curently: i am working for a telecom company ( KPN ) repairing nokia cell phones ( not the simple work but i mean the real thing whit mesureing tools and solding small components on troigh a microscope )
That kinda stuff the only stupid thing is that you need a acces card for every door in the building that is kinda anoying..
Last studie: Electronical systems. ( got dimploma for that ) when we where messing whit our house i builde the powerplugs into the wall and rewired the living room it had old wireing from 40 years ago.. It was iligal but it was allot more cheaper:)

Growing up with HTML coding, I find it extremely hard to get Dreamweaver to do anything productive. It generates very inefficient HTML code, etc etc. I use Homesite 4.5 - much easier for me, at least. :)
And that's what I do (in between reserve duty periods), build websites. :)
-
Unemployed student, in 2nd year of Computer Science at University.
I may try and get into games design when I'm finished.

Really? Most people wax-lyrical about it, saying that it's the best WYSIWYG editor out there...
-
I work in the rental shop of a ski hill...
-
I'm going to be a Navy pilot, either that or a United Earth Forces Space pilot.
UFO's are REAL!!!:D
-
I work at a garage (for now) and over 4months i'l be a 1e helmsman at a ship and then i'l be gone for 4 months and come back with $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
-
I'm working as Java Analyst/Programmer right now, on a project for a cell phone company (Telefônica Celular). Takes too much time, and software analysis just sucks. Writing useless documents for hours and hours is damn boring if you ask me - I hope we get to the actual development stage soon...

I know... Personally, if you want to use a WYSIWYG editor, I'd go with Adobe GoLive - it's similar to Dreamweaver in a way, but I like it more - I can actually work with it. :D
But my editor of choice is definetly HomeSite - I've been with that proggy since version 2, back in '94 or so - something like that. That's what I used to make my website (http://www.geocities.com/sandvich/) - that and TopStyle. :)
-
Homesite = :yes: :yes:
-
studying to get CGI artist job :)
-
I'm working on finding a job... if that even counts.
Used to work in a web design firm... but that was in the long ago, in the before-time.
Now I'm still looking, and looking, and looking...

Credit Analyst by trade, but currently I deliver newspapers at night so that I can stay at home during the day with my newborn daughter. I guess for the next few years I'm a "Stay-at-home" Dad :D

In case of emergency, exits are to the rear and left. Sling-shots can be found under your seats, awaiting replacement and upgrading to the newer Subach HL-16 Personal Sidearm. :D

Professional FRED b1tch. Aldo pays good £££
Aside from that, I'm desperately seeking a job before the overdraft runs out and I have to give up the beer and kebabs :(

currently studying art... "Art and communication" as it says officially. But think more accurate version is that I'm studying to be an advertisement graphic designer or webgraphic designer... or something like that :p

I have Dreamweaver Ultradev 4 but have not really attempted to learn it yet; is it any different from the normal Dreamweaver 4?
-
I'm a software enginnering student hoping to go on to a degree in multimedia, I have a HNC in "Electronic engineering and computing systems" but I'm not intending on being an electronic engineer.
I'm currently learning C++ and reading as much material as I can on the Gameboy Advance, I wouldn't mind being a games programmer/designer or even building models but as you are all aware that kind of thing is only for university graduates.
Basically I'm trying to learn as much as possible

More emphasis on database-driven content, AFAIK... :)

Both Dreamweaver and Dreamweaver Ultradev suck when it comes to developing any website that uses dynamic content. I am sick of silly webdesigners with their "magical" (read: stupid) tools that just screw up my carefully designed code. Even after I started making taglibs for every damn piece of code the stupid thing would still be able to screw it up! I think it has some sort of built-in neural net whose sole purpose is to identify and subsequently screw up dynamic code.
Anyone who actually likes it is either too inexperienced with real websites, or works on marketing.

On the subject of HTML: I don't use fancy tools... Go Notepad! :p
On the subject of jobs: I'll tell you when I stop being 13, eh?

Gotta extra one of those :D

Im training myself in the ways of the comic book artist. I have a long way to go but considering I started about three months ago, I'd say I'm progressing rather quickly.
But I think I want to be an architect if I knew how to spell it! :)
Im taking this opportunity to :thepimp: my comic and by the time I'm done with it, you guys will hate me for all the :thepimp: -age Im giving it :)

I might like to fly one of these someday... :D
What I want to fly... (http://www.af.mil/photos/images/fighters_f22_0001.jpg)
Definitely going to try to get my pilot's liscence as soon as I can. The crazy thing about this country is that you can fly before you drive...is there something wierd about that? :wtf:
But since I'm only in my early teens - well, I still have a lot of time to think about it. I'd probably like to do something involving computers programming/game design or graphic design type stuff. I work a lot in Photoshop and Quark, I know Visual Basic, and I'm learning Dreamweaver 4.0
And what is CGI?
EDIT: The pic was really big so I put a hyperlink instead

I work as a unix systems administrator. This generally involves sitting on my tail and waiting for things to break. Since the machines I work with are unix, they never break. I am the geek version of a Maytag washer repairman. Now if I could just find a more interesting job that pays the same, I'd be set.

UltraDev is geared more toward designers/developers wishing to utilize the power of server side programming.

Perhaps if you knew how to ultilize such a program you wouldn't be saying that.
Hey Zeronet I don't like my next door neighbours that well, perhaps you could get rid of them and the entire neighboured with your mates...ya....

No, no. You didn't understand - I wouldn't touch a WYSIWYG editor with a 40 foot pole. I just can't work with something that tries to generate any kind of code for you - I must write the code myself. The guys who used it and screwed everything up were the goddamned webdesigners (I'm not speaking of webdesigners in general, okay?) who insisted in modifying the pages with Dreamweaver Ultradev, which subsequently caused major problems to any and all JSP code contained inside the html. things as page breaks in the middle of variable names, funcion calls, messing up with taglibs, all sorts of nasty stuff. The funny thing is that after everything was screwed up, they'd start with the "But it's not my fault! This tool is made to work with dynamic pages! You must have done something!!" routine. Tsk, tsk.
If you want clean, efficient and working code, you code it yourself.

No, stick with the job. Do you know how long that Maytag guy's been with them... like forever!
Job stability... that's what you want... trust me.

I'm "unemployable". Meaning a hobo in the making. Life is good.
Possibly somebody will give me a telecommuting graphics design job at some point, if they don't find out I'm 16. Until then, odd manual labor jobs are the only ones I'm likely to get.;)

Joe, if I could stomach the place much longer, I would.
Unfortunately, management is... well... The board will censor the accurate terms. My boss recently fired three people because we are 'in financial difficulty' (his words, not mine), and somehow, the squat little baldheaded hobgoblin managed to buyout another company AND hire a new programmer.
Stability is not an adjective I would use to describe my work environment.

I'd get a job, but have no means to get to one (need a car).. but to get a car i need a job..
want to be a programmer i know some C++ and I'm already learning OpenGL off internet sites
