I Know 3.2 is stickied at the top, but did Caligari ever release 4.2 as well. I remember having it at some point about two computers back. Could it have come from a PC Magazine or free DL?

i was just looking over their site trying to find what version was free, seems they've pulled all traces of it. 4.2 was ok since it had a semi-useful uv projection, many nukemod legacy models were modeled and uved in it. if i were gonna get ts id get ts6, ts7 is alot slower and has way too much bloat. it did have a better hierarchy editor but the uv mapper and point edit tools are the same as 6.
their forum seems to have locked all threads regarding old versions. also 6 is the oldest version you can buy so id assume ts5 and lower are now abandon ware, since their developer no longer recognizes their existence. im not sure but i think ts5 has the same uv editor as 6. there are torrents aplenty and i doubt they'd sue anyone for pirating something they consider obsolete.

4.3 was the last version before 5.0. 4.2 or 4.3 was also the first to have the Lightworks render engine. Pretty nifty since trueSpace with Lightworks built in cost less than the Lightworks plugin for Lightwave.
I'm pretty certain that 4.3 was the first version to have the Add Face tool to fix non-solid meshes. 4.3 also had several other improvements over 4.2. There's a 4.2 to 4.3 update patch but you need the password to install it.
