Here we go, first render going up

-
I think it is safe to say that playing Fate of the Galaxy will be like playing the original trilogy.
Absolutely great work.
-
Update:

Also to note: My lowest poly model yet, coming in at just under 2700 triangles. (1270 untriangulated)
-
Aaaand one more. I think I'm about ready to call this one quits, It's supposed to be a newer fighter so I don't want it to be quite as dirty as the others.

Shouldn't it have a wider wingspan? It looks more like a CloakShape with a long nose.
-
The perspective is making the nose appear long, the vantage point is just off the nose in the render.
-
A per usual, I will reiterate:
The proportions are correct.
I dunno how many times I can say this about my models, I seem to get one of these comments on just about every model I make. My proportions are based off of the schematics of the ships themselves, and match up exactly down to the centimeter.
-
Heh, didn't know about this ship.... where did it appear in the SW universe? And what the heck are those huge cannons? :nervous:
-
It showed up in the thrawn trilogy, the 2nd book I believe.
And they're engines, not cannons.
-
Mph... I just read those and I'm drawing a blank. Guess I'll have to read them again.
-
very nice! my second favorite fighter
-
funny, it's about as well known as the X-wing, but almost nobody knows were it's actually FROM.
-

Then I think you ought to change the Field of View on your camera when you take your renders. It seems to be chronic.
-
Gorrammit, The Star Wars conversion is going to be beautiful.
-
This is one of my most anticipated mods. I think that it will probably be out within a year if they have a team that works like this.
-
this is the reason why my dad let me get SCP.
first he said i could get the SWC, then i said i had to... 'update' FS (i'm not always mr. goody :p) to be able to play it. didn't realize it wasn't out.
EDIT: Dedication can get akward at times. (see attachment)

That's kinda dumb. What's his reasoning for letting you play SWC and not SCP?
-
i hadn't told him about SCP yet...
and he's kind of afraid of any program of the internet (think it has something to do with something that happened a while ago to a company he worked for... don't ask, i'm just speculating)
he tends to be nervous about free programs...
and he doesn't like me filling up our comp with S***.
-
Hey! FSO isn't ****!
I'ma go over and smack him upside tha' head! :p

Well, a lot of work actually goes into those renders, and camera positioning and field of view are a large part of it, so that the correct detail can be shown. At some point I'll probably do ortho views of all my models so everyone can see the positions are correct, but the renders will stay the same.
