I've been trying to make beam cannons to feat fighters. Well, is it possible?!:confused: :confused:

when you say "feat" fighters, I assume you mean, "defeat,"?
If so, yes, it's very possible, the small, blue beams usually coming out of Fenris and Leviathin class cruisers are anti-fighter beams. Every ship has one.

i think feat = fit

and, yeah I've seen it done before, in the unfinished Unholy Alliance campaign (i was a beta tester, albeit a lazy one).

Do you mean mounting beams on fighters? [:thepimp:]The Thor cannon is SHaS is a beam which can be mounted on the Morrigan.[/:thepimp:]

I think most fighter beams made in mods are a targeting laser with modified damage and color values.  Try editing the targeting laser so it causes damage.

AI controlled ships yes, its possible to mount it on a turret, but not for player controlled, you can mount it, but you cant control it... the only reason is because turrets cannot be player controlled... even if they were mounted with a maxim - and beams cant be mounted as primaries because... it just makes sense.

and if you wanna control it, make sure it's a type 2 beam and it's player allowed in the flags.
