I know theese are not the best Screenshots. I have a Question about Screenshoots at all and didn´t want to make a new Thread, because of this...
(http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/5426/screen0014sb8.th.jpg) (http://img529.imageshack.us/my.php?image=screen0014sb8.jpg)(http://img409.imageshack.us/img409/8990/screen0028pg5.th.jpg) (http://img409.imageshack.us/my.php?image=screen0028pg5.jpg)(http://img409.imageshack.us/img409/2369/screen0031ht8.th.jpg) (http://img409.imageshack.us/my.php?image=screen0031ht8.jpg)
...It seems like there are some colour Issues, whenever I take a Screenshoot or hit ESC to pause the Game (Game is backgrounded). For Example the Shivans are blue on Screenshots and red Colours look more like brown or orange Colours...any suggestions ?
I wanted to make some Screenshoots for FSAR, until i figured out they don´t look like ingame.
Edit: And please don´t Necrothread me...i know it´s 30 Days past...:D

That's a bug. I assume that you have an ATi Radeon video card?
One thing that you can do to fix this is get IrfanView (http://www.irfanview.com), and open the shot. Do what is shown in the photo, and save the shots as filetype PNG quality 9. That will fix the colors and make them better quality

Make a new thread next time. :p
Bumping a year old thread which is unrelated to your question is far more annoying then starting a new thread to ask a legitimate question.
-
Yeah just start a new thread
necromacy gets you titles like mine
-
Woah, looks like someone ran the picture through some filter in photoshop!
-
No, it's JPG compression artifacts.
-
:wtf:
I'm starting to get confused over what is the best format for pictures.
-
For screenshots, use PNG, quality 9 (in IrfanView, which anyone in their right mind should be using).
PNGs are 1/10th the size of JPGs in these cases, and near lossless quality.
-
so JPGs just plain suck?
-
Yup. They're an outdated format. They do have some applications, when there is a lot of color variation (a.k.a not a huge block of one solid color) they're generally slightly smaller than a PNG.

Ok, just thought a new Thread would be more work.

I have an Ati X1300. I got Irfanview. Which Photo do you mean ?
Saved them as .png (9), but they still look unnormal...

No pimped them with Gimp. That says...I gimped them. :D

I think .bmp and .tga is. I only choose .jpg because it has the smallest filesize. In .tga this pictures would be looking way better, but with a average size of 2.2 MB.
I think .jpg is of lower Quality, but the most common format used in the Internet.

Was that meant to stir interest in what you're doing, cause it did.

It was ment to stear interest into my problem with the screenshots...
-
Woah...did you just rename absolutely everything?
-
No, The Shivan installation pictured is from INFR1.
-
I know. And its called SI Arachnas, not SI.Oblivion-class.
-
Guys, if you have Questions about what i´m doing then please post in the proper Thread.
Woah...did you just rename absolutely everything?
Yes, every single Vessel is renamed...even the Containers. Weapons will also get a new Name, until i figured out how it´s working without crashing my Game^^
No, The Shivan installation pictured is from INFR1.
Wrong. It was a single Download and has absolutely nothing to do with Inferno.

Wrong. It is the SI.Oblivion-Class. If not so, you wouldn´t read it^^

It might have been a separate download, but that installation was still included in Inferno.

In case you haven't noticed, there is no proper thread.
