Title: In-Game Music or MP3 Player?
Post by: MrBig101 on June 12, 2008, 07:12:51 pm
I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but I was just curious if you all just listened to the base music while playing Freespace, or you let winamp run in the background and you played whatever.  I've always just listened to the game's music, but now i'm wondering how it would sound to The Black Dahlia Murder, and was just curious what the general population did.

Depends on if it's the main FS campaign or not. If it's user made, they tend to not have good music application, so I listen to my own. Otherwise it's the game music.

Blue Planet. But that's not most campaigns.

The original in game music was perfect, really added atmoshphere and always reminds me of the late 90's.  :)

I haven't listened to the music from the main campaign forever, my own music/tv shows.

I haven't even thought about listening to other music. It just feels natural to let the usual FS music play in the background. Also, if I left Winamp playing in the background, it would most likely be on Shuffle, and there is a chance that during an epic battle I'd suddenly hear Stephen Lynchs' "What If That Guy from Smashing Pumpkins Lost His Car Keys?".

well on campaign i generally let retail music, she 's good.

But when i want to have fun i just free a little mission where enemy spawn by wave and some cap ship in background and then for music...Carmina burana rules

I possible I will listen to the in-game music, however if the wife is watching TV in the same room, I'm listening to that instead  and Big Brother has just started  :doubt:  :sigh:

In-game music, or some other good music from mods. But even now, as I type this, I am listening to the soundtrack.

Gah, didn't think of a both or neither option when I first made the poll.  Thanks for the feedback everyone.
