Title: free fraps alternative?

is there something akin to fraps but free? I have camstudio but it sucks for games.

well it seem that you can get a toned down free version. bet I tried it and I can't get it to work well. I run the game and, depending on what game it is, the textures get messed up or it just doesn't record.
