I found this parody of Mass Effect earlier today. It has been a long read and I haven't yet finished it, but so far it has been very much worth reading. :) It basically parodies almost every major event in the game, so be warned, the parody is full of spoilers.

I'll read it later definitely. I wanna see how they handle the Geth (best bit off mass effect) the council and the nookie.

You can download it from Scribd as PDF.

This is hilarious.
You have managed to waste some of my time in a completely awesome way. I commend you.

This is great stuff. :D I didn't have time to read the whole thing but went through the first couple of chapters. I like how they have both the male and female Shepards in it.
Most of the jokes will only make sense if you've played the game though.

Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant!

Yeah, it's not there... Use the scribd link (http://www.scribd.com/doc/15881464/Mock-Effect).

It's not there because of Threadomancy.

's a script fic, a type that lends itself to really crappy writers, so ff.net don't take them no more (and hasn't for ages, that policy predates my joining HLP for chrissakes).
Perhaps it gets better as it goes on, but on the other hand, I find even the first chapter a chore to read. It's not witty, insightful, cutting. It's extaggerated, but that's all. And that doesn't make a parody.
It's really eerily reminscent of the script fics that used to haunt many sections of ff.net, badly flanderizing the characters but not doing much of anything else worth mentioning. About the only real difference is this apparently flanderized them intentionally, and the author has some technical skill to try and cover the lack of storytelling skill.

Fun. But it does loose steam towards the end.

I thought it was pretty good!
Plus, I never realised until reading this how horribly racist Ashley and especially Navigator Pressley are!!

Speciesist, technically...
Although the Asari sort of throw a monkey wrench into taxonomy of sentient species. :nervous:

They aren't really. This fan fic makes it look worse than it is.

I think he was being sarcastic. That's what it usually means when Mefustae attaches exclaimation points anyways.
