in this pictures it appears in my opinion too dark and monothone compared to the renders you posted sometimes ago... (and my memory may be wrong...but there is a little variation from the original color of textures and the game appearance?)
boh,
btw i already said what i think about this ship in another post... awesome work aldo;)

You're right, it is a wee bit darker....

3 things I think;
1/ shading in game
2/ high light settings when I rendered it
3/ Darkening from colour reduction.

I think.

i said that cause i have the same problem...:)

i think that its not the color reduction... my pcx files are pretty similar to the original image, at least it could be the way the engine renders the images, but i noticed that the volition textures appears instead "normal" in game.
In modview (not sure in pcs) there is a feature called "lights" with some coordinates
I don't know what they are for... volition models have a lot of lights, mine none... maybe this is the cause but i never had time to make some tests so i'm not sure
another possibility may be the graphic card and its settings
(but i didn't test this too)

Well, I have to be honest and say I haven't noticed, although there is a definite darkening in the colour reduced maps (for me at least), and bear in mind that the game model is under an indirect green light source.

Of couse, the 'ligts' bit could be important to it...  I've never actually looked at the lights on a fighter - only on a capital.

Oh, and untouchable, I don't mind.

(funny, that should be in the readme(.
