Hi! :pimp:
Two quick questions:
1) Is Gimp as effective as Photoshop in modifying/creating graphics and saving them in formats FSO can use?
2) Can someone please link me all Descent Manager tools(viewers, makers)? I either lost or don't know how to make work again all DM tools I have...the only one that's still working properly is VPView.
Thanks in advance! :)

Yes it is. Also try Pain.net

Also try Pain.net
Sadistic tools.
Paint.NET is good but it won't create anything even remotely animated. But it'll do most well for editing individual pictures/frames.

May I open Photoshop files in Gimp?
I want static pics...

Not sure but it may open photoshop files. If it doesn't there should be a plugin that allow program to open.

Freespace kit is at the bottom of the page
http://www.descent-network.com/descman/ (http://www.descent-network.com/descman/) Also there is a newer version of VPview32 v2 on that page that is not in the kit (v1.3)
Gimp can open Photoshop PSD files, but doesn't have adjustment layers. For working with FSO graphics Gimp is fine and handles all the formats including dds with a plugin. For dds files there are additional tools that can be used by both nVidia and AMD.

Thank you for the link, Water. :)
I solved the problem with IrfanView, that program allows me to save psd files as TGAs...
