Title: Question about Modviw32
Post by: Retsof on June 29, 2008, 01:43:48 pm
I am attempting to to a simple retexture, sadly modviw doesn't recognize TGA files.  This wouldn't be a problem except for I need to get the new firepoints lined up with thier respective holes.  Thanks in advance.

Use PCS2.  It works, and it preserves glowpoints.  Not much of a reason to use anything else these days.

You could just save the texture as a square 8-bit PCX and put it in the same directory as the model, then delete it when you're done.

Yeah, but you'll need some decent image editing thing to do that....right?

That's a good idea, I'm using GIMP anyway.  And PCS2_2.0.3 still doesn't show the textures and crashes when I try to look at gunpoints (it might crash at other things too, but I haven't used anything else)

If you have the mysterious crash bug, you could try using RC2A.  That works for me :nervous:

PCS2 RC2A (release candidate 2A).  Should be available on SourceForge.  If it gives you collision problems, recompile with 2.0.3

Yes (http://ferrium.org/media/pcs2-rc2a.zip), but it took a bit of digging.
