Title: Just used the installer, now what?

Hey all, Big fan of freespace, just found this awesome project :)

So anyway I just used the Freespace Open installer, what other mods should I get in order for it to be uber?

As an answer to the topic itself: just play the damn thing.

As for getting FSO to be uber, I think I don't fully understand. If you want all the mods ever made, go through FreeSpaceMods.net and the FreeSpace Wiki, as well as searching for threads that have the word "release" in them.

Then, about what to do now:

Make sure you have OpenAL, then start the launcher and select any mod you want (yes, the launcher downloads some of the best). If you want to go through the main FS2 campaign, select mod "mediavps" to get the shiny new models etc.

Then, go to the "features" tab and select whatever you like. Glowmaps is a must, the other things in "Graphics" depend of your computer. As for the other categories (e. g. Gameplay, Game Speed etc), suit for yourself.

Finally, go play and have fun!

Get MVPs.
That will make the graphics somewhat uber.
