Title: Cutscenes not working
Post by: Rhymes on July 07, 2008, 06:44:28 pm
For some reason, when I load the port, the game does not read the cutscenes.  What's up?

Did you download the .VP? Are you playing in OpenGL mode? (hint: the Launcher's Video tab)

I used the installer, so I see the VP.  As for OpenGL, my machine used to have it, but since I upgraded to XP, the computer gives me an error message when I try to run ANYTHING using OpenGL.

OpenGL is included in your graphics card's drivers. So, install those. And if it doesn't help, find proper chipset drivers as well.

First you find out what graphics card you have. If you are lost, GPU-Z (link in my signature) will help. Next, you head to the graphics card's manufacturer's site (ATI or Nvidia) and search for drivers for your particular graphics card. Then, you download the drivers and install them.

Next, if you still have issues, you find out what chipset you have. If you are lost, CPU-Z (link in my signature) will help. Then, you head to the motherboard manufacturer's site and search for chipset drivers. Download and install.

You should update your video card drivers about once a month, also.
