Title: Umm, help

OK, I've just played the ST mission The Field Of Destruction, meaning I go into a Red Alert Mission where I am briefed about the Krios.  However when I enter the mission, all I see is black nothingness beyond my HUD.  None of my controls work, and I cannot jump to Subspace.

Can anyone shed any light onto this matter?

If it helps, in the previous mission, I lost Iota 1, the Fenris class cruiser.

Have you tried quitting and replaying from the previous mission ?

its ST.
The mission before doesn't have a red-alert or something, so it end up being loaded from the previous time. That's how people end up in Ursas with Harbringers. I would assume that it locks up if there was no red-alert data at all, that it may lock up.

I heard that so many times - I was stuck with a Medusa and and a half dead Ulysses to beat the entire mission. Ended up putting me off ST. Never finished it.

I usually just wind up brute-force cheating my way through that mission.  When I originally played it for real, I think I managed to save one or two of the escape pods somehow.  I really love how, in the debriefing, "a handful" of pods ranges from 1 to 7. :p

I guess the temporal maggothole he's using goes to both the past and the future.
