Hi, I am trying to make my linux install identical to my windows install ( http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,53294.0.html (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,53294.0.html) ) and I am wondering where I can find the same Xt0314 binary for linux? This build was supposed to be good one to use with 3.6.10 beta mediavps and also support normal-flag. This setup works really nicely in the Windows side btw, almost halfway through the fsport campaign and no problems yet.
Currently I am running with this -> Current stable/trunk build (2008-06-20) http://icculus.org/~taylor/fso/testing/20080620_trunk-linux.tar.bz2 (http://icculus.org/~taylor/fso/testing/20080620_trunk-linux.tar.bz2)
but this binary does not seem to accept the -normal flag. A little help is appreciated, I am very new with this SCP stuff, last time I played these games was when they were released. ;)

All of the Xt builds have been removed since they were too old and people were using those over newer builds simply because those newer builds didn't have normal map support.
I am working at getting the normal map code into the main trunk though. The ETA for that is the middle of next week, if everything goes ok. There will likely be a test build (for windows only, but source will be available too) this weekend to verify that the initial code converted between trees in working order.

Ok, thanks for the answer. I will be checking the Recent Building then.

Very good news :)
I always was building my fs2_open from svn (trunk).
But when the XT-Builds came out I also stopped this because Normal mapping simply IS very cool ;)

I find it almost sad that Taylor is going to have to consider testing other very cool features if it's going to be too long before he can get them into SVN, just because everyone stops testing other newer features...
