I finally figured out how to get the game to play, but during a mission, I can't see the ships, only the glow of the engines... Does anyone know what's wrong, and how to fix it?
Everything else works fine. The HUD, the weapons, the whole shebang. But... this doesn't.

Open the Launcher, switch to OpenGL and enable jpg/tga textures.
-
Ummm.... how do I do that? I opened the launcher and enabled OpenGL, but I didn't understand that last part. :sigh:

Um dude, that option isn't there. I looked right where it's supposed to be, between environment maps and mipmapping, but it's not there.

Whoa. The conclusion is that you are using a 3.6.10 build instead of the 3.6.9 -> jpg/tga textures are enabled by default. Which is good. And bad, since the cause is something quite else. Hmm, try to update graphics card drivers.
-
Oh... I was using the 3.6.10 build, I'll just try using the 3.6.9. instead, because I have both. But the little voice in my head is telling me it still won't work.
Thanks for your help. ;)
-
It probably won't. The point was that with 3.6.9 you have a tickable option for jpg/tga in the Launcher. But since they are always needed, the option is on by default in 3.6.10 builds and isn't therefore even listed. I'd recommend the driver thing. If still no success, try redownloading the MediaVPs.

Ha!!! It did actually work! Muchos Gracias, Amigo!
