Post by: terran_emperor on July 15, 2008, 06:18:23 am
I'm not available from August 2nd-16th - I'll be in Lyme Regis in Dorset.

I'll PM Dekker and IPA (I'm 75% sure it was him there last time) and see if they are interested this evening

Or if you are over on 31s oct, a Halloween Special

If I came to an HLP London, I'd definitely have to stay for at least a night--if not two. What's the drinking age in the UK?

Drinking age? Technically you can sit on a wall knocking back diamond white at 14 if my estate is anything to go by, but i say 18.

I'd have to wait till London Part IV then to drink...

Other than that--I'd be flying in from Montreal or Toronto--or whatever Canadian airport lets me through!

Why was I not informed of this??  Depends on my bridge shifts, but I'm sure Polpolion would love the chance to command the Galatea, he practically forces me out of my seat on the bridge when my shift ends.  Get a date sorted and I'll do my best for shore leave.

No, but a Miami --> Montreal --> London hop may be more attainable than a Miami --> Toronto --> London hop. It all depends on how standby goes--I just make sure I do flights which I can at least get to the Canadian hub, as if all else fails, I can just stop by my home in New York or visit my stepdad in Montreal. Standby tickets are cheap, and so long as I'm <18, I fly C-2. Once I hit 18 and later, I fly C-3. I've had pretty good luck with standby--I've made every flight.

Yeah--it's going along nice and smooth. Just like Freelancer... The bright idea to go through Liberty while everyone in Liberty and their Grandma want me dead. Maybe I can make a $1000 profit on each gun I smuggle in... so long as I attach the game cord to it and make it look like a game controller, they'll never know!

Bah!  The LoD have at this time refused my request for leave again!  I may have to do the unthinkable and leave my commision to Polpolion and seek transfer to a less important position within the GTA.  Applications are being processed now.

Very unlikely I'll be able to come people.  Busy 23-24th and evening services to MK (New base of LoD operations as we've moved from Uxbridge) are crap to say the least.

Nah ,just making sure if IPA has the date right...
I wasnt sure if he was saying he was free on the Friday but got the date wrong

or if he was saying that he has free on the 30th but had the day wrong...

But luckily it seems to be the former...

Friday 29th it is. Anyone who wants me to explain my custom title can wait till then to get the scoop...

In light of what happened to me last time, id recommend getting a sign saying HLP so any newcomers attending can find us  :D

If Admiral Wolfe still wants to atend, i can find out and post the train times.
