Urrr... okay this is interesting. I've been playing through JAD2 and i've reached the mission where you kill FRED. I've been told to go through the "Temporal Knossos", but something is triggering the white-out feature and then not turning it off, so i can't see anything and so can't get to the knossos. I tried waiting around to see what happens (had time compression on full blast and everything) and i was just sitting there.
Am i missing something here? Is there something i have to do?
I'd appreciate it if anyone could help, as i've been really enjoying this campaign.

You'll just have to fly through it. Head towards it immediately when it appears. The whiteout will keep getting stronger but you should be able to get a direction before visibility gets too ****ty.
-
Hmm that's weird. You should die when the screen is all whited out... Maybe I need to go be more destructive in that mission. ;)
(Or maybe just increase the whiteout time)
-
Is it meant to make a long time whiting out then? Mine does it instantly; goes straight into jet white.
-
Took long enough for me to make it to the Knossos. What build are you using? I had good results with 3.6.9.
-
I got there but then it just took me back to the time anomaly mission

Well, that is the purpose of a temporal Knossos, isn't it? Now you just have to figure out what you did or did not do the last time on that mission and try something different.

Change to OpenGL. Direct3D doesn't fade and instantly turns into white/black, instead of fading. OpenGL has it normally.
-
Hmm. Having checked T-Man's old posts, he seems to have had issues with OpenGL, even after installing new graphics drivers. But not to worry. I'm quite sure me 'n the lads have found a solution a while ago: you'll need (newer) drivers for your chipset as well. If you went wtf, just use CPU-Z (link in my signature) to find out what chipset your computer has. Then, just travel to the chipset manufacturer's website and search for drivers for your particular model.

You mean the campaign has an ending other than an endless loop? I didn`t even know that. <_<

@Axem
not to hijack this thread, but if you're gonna make a new one, maybe you can use animated textures to make a vegas-like setup, with lights and stuff. or have ships going back-and-forth, with huge, animated advertisments for bosch beer.

Think carefully. Did you blow up something harmless in that mission? If yes, try not blowing it up.

And what happens then? Write it with spoiler tags.

The Lucifer, Bastion(or was it Galatea) and Colossus jump in.

He actually spelled it Loosifer? I never noticed.

My FS2 crashed.

I was kinda surprised that people didn't catch on how to break the loop. But I can understand since they might've missed the text since there's no Voice Acting yelling at you.
BUT DID YOU KNOW: You can end the campaign as soon as you get the Temporal Anomaly mission? Shortest campaign ever if its your second mission! Longest campaign ever if you do what the zombie says! Kinda average length mini-campaign ever if its in between and you catch on that you're not supposed to kill the NTSC Pal...
-
You can get that as your second mission ? You can?
-
Unfortunately it seems that JAD2 reached for a level of humour far too high...
-
If you're lucky. You need the Temporal Anomaly mission to finish it and that is randomly placed between the first and last missions.
-
The only reason to keep listening to the zombie is the "Not Derek Smart" mission is the next one.
-
Well, I went back through the campaign and beat it the "right" way this time. See, I learn eventually...
There was something that needs to be fixed, though. There`s a part where they make a Hasuphet (Yeah, I probably spelled it wrong) with Orion textures. I remember this working the last time I played it a few years ago, but this time around it had the normal vasudan textures.
