Ah, a music thread! I knew this would pop up.

AP said that I wouldn't be able to post the FS1 music for download. Sorry guys.

What I did was to extract the FS1 briefing music and rename it so FS2 will recognise it. Full details on extracting stuff from FS1 will be on-site soon.

Actually, if you can't wait, just crack open the FS2 music.tbl, find the names FS2 looks for, and rename your extracted FS1 music files to them. ;)

Nope. Don't intend to, since it's a little complicated and I can't offer it for download. Sorry.

Title: Quick suggestion to the head honcho of this conversion
Post by: Labcoatguy on March 03, 2002, 09:16:37 pm
I just played almost all the way through Act III, and I was a bit disappointed to find that in "Clash of the Titans", the classic Clash of the Titans music wasn't there. It's already there in FS2, and the music added a great deal of atmosphere to the mission when I  first played it. For future versions of the conversion, could you change it accordingly? I've already done so to the version on my computer.

Yes, it's possible. I made a music.tbl with all the briefing musics and a couple full tracks of FS1 music for FS2, but I deleted it by accident in order to play multiplayer, which FS2 ended up DYING so the whole thing went to waste.
I could re-do it pretty fast, though, because I still have the music files I made.

There is a better way. Go here (http://www.sectorgame.com/f2s/misc.php3) and you will find all of the FS briefing music themes. Alpha Leader made those.
