Title: I Managed to Get FS2_Open Running on My MacBook, But...
Post by: Androgeos Exeunt on July 22, 2008, 08:19:50 am
Hello, all. A few minutes ago, I managed to get FS2_Open running on my MacBook and completed the first mission of the main campaign. There are quite a few problems I have, though:

1. The game is in 640 x 480 resolution;
2. There is no launcher for me to select mods;
3. There doesn't appear to be a tutorial on HLP on how to get FS2_Open running on a Mac, or I'm not looking hard enough;
4. There is sound, even though I don't have OpenAL installed.
5. The MediaVPs work when I put them in the root FS2 folder.

There was also a fourth sixth problem concerning the availability of FRED2_Open, but I did a search and found my answer, so that is no longer a problem.

Yes, having the launcher should take care of everything.

And the MediaVPs always work if you put them in the root FS2 directory; you're just not supposed to. It can screw things up and cause organizational problems.

/me found FS2_Launcher 3.0.7 (http://soulstorm-creations.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=22&Itemid=42).

...I see a Pyro-GX in the background. :wtf:
