Actually it doesn't look so bad, and as a bonus it apparently has Christian Bale as John Connor. Just for that I'll see it.

Most of us here don't read japanese I'm afraid :blah:
-
Far better quality english version: http://movies.yahoo.com/premieres/8841507/standardformat/
EDIT: Because Kosh is search-impaired, here is the wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terminator_Salvation

the trailer, i don't get to see much apart from more black then in film footage. i hope the t4 film is better then the trailer has.
-
This actually looks pretty good, and should be a damn sight better than T3... although on second thought, watching a live evisceration would be better than T3... actually, on third thought, experiencing an evisceration would be better than T3, so i've got high hopes for Salvation. :)
-
T3 gets the same reaction as FS3 from me. Not good at all T4 will be as good as watching T4 (the music show) in bed on a sunday
Also that youku interface is frickin sweet, very mellow like a dentists waiting room. I want it for youtube
-
Wow, this does look good. I lost all hope for the series after T3...
-
Terminator 4? WTF? Didn't everyone die at the end of T3?
-
as i recall, in t1, their were people still alive. and bruceter and connor manage to survive in t3 along with people transmitting through a radio at an abandoned base.
-
And you would be correct.
-
This is not the world my mother warned me of.
that right there has me sold.

One of the things that really hurt T3 (in addition to bad writing) was bad acting on the part of the guy who played John Connor. Christian Bale is a great actor, so this time I dont think that will be a problem.
-
Not to mention they got Connor's age wrong. The guy was 10 in T2, but they muck that up in T3 by saying he was 13 when T2 took place
Continuity: According to the Police database in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) John Connor was born in 1985 and is established as being 10 years old, therefore the film was set in 1995. However, at the beginning of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003) John's voiceover says he was 13 during the events of Terminator 2. In the cemetery scene John tells Katherine that his mother, Sarah Connor, had fought with leukemia for 3 years before dying in 1997. This would have meant she was diagnosed in 1994, before the events of Terminator 2 which made no reference to this. According to promotional material, John Connor is 22 years old in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003), meaning that this film should have been set in 2007 instead of 2003/2004.

*puts fingers in ears* T3 never existed "lala la lala la lala la"
-
They need to start burying dead movies under 50 feet of solid concrete, in order to prevent this zombie plague from running rampant. :P
-
Christian Bale to the worlds busiest actor, Samuel L. Jackson it makes no difference, if you have a bad scripted storyline for the character, and you got SLJ to play it, you would be calling him rubbish .
-
Well the only reason SLJ took Snakes on a Plane, was cos he liked the title
-
I guess im the only one here that like T3

Damned straight. :ick:
-
Christian Bale will be awesome.
All they have to do to get me to see a film these days is say it has Christian Bale in it.
"Golden Girls the Movie: starring Christian Bale" - I'm sold.
-
christian bale has earned my resepct after the two batman movies, i'll defently go and watch this movie
-
I don't know, Bale rocks that's for sure but as John Conner? :wtf:
Oh and I like T3 too. Sure, not as good as 1 and 2 but still a nice action movie.
-
In terms of just typecasting based on previous roles, it's a pretty good choice. He has the same kind of dark power that you see from Maximus in Gladiator, but is young and thin enough to play the part. I can easily see him as a leader of men in a future that's a real bummer.
Not that body mass seems to be an issue for Christian Bale, given his radical change between The Machinist and Batman Begins.
-
Try - American Psycho > Equilibrium > Machinist > Batman Begins...
-
Haha, I saw most of Equilibrium lastnight and it looked terrible!
Bale, yeah he's a class act but the film is being directed by McG! Mac ****ing Charlies Angels **** G! Sorry, but it seems to me that it's that much of a disaster. I can't see that guy putting together a good, i.e. in comparrison to the first 2 films, film.
For what it's worth I thought T3 was quite enjoyable if taken on it's own. But as a sequel to 1 and 2 it was an insult.
And don't slag Nick 'Nostrils' Stahl, he's a good actor. In T3 as well as Carnivale. You should check that out. Well, if it hadn't been cancelled before it could finish it's story arc.
