Title: Where to sell old pc parts?
Post by: Triple Ace on July 24, 2008, 08:41:28 pm
I have a bunch of old pc parts I'm looking to get rid of. This includes monitors, graphics cards, sound cards, etc. They are parts that I won't be using anymore and are taking up space, besides I could use some extra cash. If I can avoid doing online that would be better, due to my dial-up connection. But I have no idea where I could go to sell these parts.

Search for local computer fairs or try a local newspaper classified ads section. Also try putting a card in a local newsagents window. (Works in the uk dunno where you're based though) failing that ebay.

that might work in the states, with special access to that right of course.
hmm, just take it up for just a normal auction, like they do with old collectables or used cars. or sent it to one of them village fates.

He doesn't want to sell them online if possible!

If you are in the UK, try Loot!

Nothing if you want your system up to date or would you like to know anyway? There out of date enough to where I won't use them again. The most up to date piece is my 256MB GeForce 7600 GT, which I would not use over my 512MB 8800GT. I might of gone for the garage sale idea if I lived in an area where people own pc's.

Is it AGP? What about Processors or HDDs?

Such powerful cards can't be AGP, more like PCI-X or PCIe.

pci-x? i never heard of a slot named PCI- X before.

ebay has graphics cards far more powerful on their site, the problem for me is these cards are sold in the united kingdom and America, i can not get them.

7600GT is probably useful for a first kids computer. get a case, put everything together inside make sure it all works and give it to a school or a relative who needs a low end pc, sell it off for $60.

PCI-X (PCI-Extended) is the sucessor of PCI but already outdated by PCIe (PCI Express).

Um... No. The 3850 was the last card sold in AGP, a few months ago. There's a good chance that the 7600's AGP.
