Title: Freespace port Cutscenes not working.
Post by: Imperium on July 30, 2008, 07:43:10 am
I've played 5 or 6 missions into the fs port and I still haven't seen a cutscene. I clicked on the intro cutscene in the tech room but it says I am unable to view it. I've never beaten freespace 1 or 2 and I just started a new FS1 campaign.

Quick checklist

1) What format are the movies in? Everything can play .mve, only some 3.6.9 builds can play .avi, only FS2_open builds can play .ogg (or the ogg cutscenes VP).
2) What mode are you running in? You should run in OpenGL mode not D3D8.

I've been using the d3d.

I've been using the d3d.
Then that explains it!  Use OpenGL from now on!

Now.....

Switching from Direct3D to OpenGL includes but is not limited to:

- Better performance
- Less graphical bugs and issues
- Working cutscenes
- More respect within this community.

Thanks Open GL fixed it.
