Hi !
I post here because i've got a problem with the FS2 ships (all the ships !). Indeed, when i want to make a rotation, they are strangely heavy, with a maneuvrability worst than a bomber ! It's weird because i made a lot of different installation of FS2 (with and without SCP) and the problem still exist with all those installation ! I made a installation on my brothers'computer, and there is the same problem...Maybe i'm just crazy, but, with the Homesick mod, there is any problem, the ships got a good maneuvrability, but just in homesick......weird, right ??? For information, to make a complete rotation, it takes me 6/8 seconds, whereas, in Homesick, it takes 2/4 seconds. I changed the rotation time in the table, but I should make it for all the ships.....too long :D. And to finish, i noticed that, with this problem, there is not a ship heavyer than an other : a Hercules is as heavy as a Myrmidon, for exemple....I don't understand anything, the only things i know, it's that the problem begun when I installed Freespace Port, the mod for playing the FS1 campaign !! Maybe there still a file in my computer...but, whatever the installation way i choose (the freespace DVD, my own CD's, the FSOpen Installer), the problem is still here, and i'm really sick of this thing !! I hope you will be able to help me !!

Run fs2_open_3_6_10---_debug.exe. When it crashes or when you get to the Main Hall, quit. Find fs2_open.log in \freespace2\data\. Post it here either as an attachment (click Additional Options when posting) or using the "code" tags.

Hmm.
1. "code". Not "quote". Don't worry. I'll fix it.
2. You seem to be using Sync as a mod at this moment. K.
3. 16-bit colours are evil. Switch to 32-bit. Now. It most certainly is not related to the issue but nevertheless.

Why does it say that, when the only command-line option in use is -mod sync? I'm puzzled. Anyone? :nervous:

Well it is just a debug warning not an actual crash. Sync contains a mod.ini but it's not even in there. There are modified tables so it may be from one of the weapons in those.

Oh, I'm not sure I understood correctly your anwser :D : You mean that weapons information in one of the tables may be the origin of the problem ??? And so, what can i do to fix it ?

Sorry was answering Lobo's question about the error. Still no idea what's causing your problem.
Again the second log file you posted is just a warning message not a real crash. You can bypass those by adding the -no_warn flag to custom flags in the launcher.

ballistic primaries is a ship flag in the tables. and I guess it's no longer needed.

Is there anything in \data\tables? Also, since you were experiencing this problem with Sync, it could be an obsolete table or something.

The Myrmidon just has incredibly slow roll rate, so I would guess it's a feature, not a bug. Try and see if your joystick reports full range of axis motion on Windows, and compare the input in-game to what kind of motion the roll left/right keys cause. Also try different ships, Perseus should have a decent roll rate.
