Title: controling cannons?

You may have heard this question before, and i don't think you can, but i figured i'd ask: I know that you can use FRED to set your ship as a cruiser, (destroyer, juggernaunt, ext.) But can you actually make it so you can control one of the turrets or cannons? or is it just flying?
So far i havent found a way.
and yes, i know i can spell.

You're going to need the Trak IR turret script.

Simple answer, No. It would require coding/scripting.

It can't be done easily, but it can be done.

I recommend, however, that you poke your way around Freespace MODing before you try something like this. Scripting can get a tad more complicated than other aspects of Freespace MODing.

Listen to ColeCampbell; this is a VERY fighter oriented game, and as such I'd recommend you learn to love that aspect.:)
