This is a teaser trailer for the upcoming ( if you show enough support ) Droid803's mod of Inferno. It's a heavy upgrade of InfernoR1 to make it much more modern and better. Be on the look out for further updates.
Watch the Trailer HERE (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chXzJntylUU)
Inferno has never looked this good before

Define "modern and better" before i commit myself to watching. . . . . .
I'm not knocking your effort i'm just saying that there was a whole team working on Inferno and i'd say that they pretty much nailed it.
-
That looked the same to me...is there anything in particular I should be noticing different? All the old ships were there.
-
Uh...only the EA.
You ever stop to look at the GTVA fleet?
Anyway, here's a screenshot from mission 2 (which is pretty much the same as the older one, but with the ships changed.

Is it just me, or is everyone else blind here? Can't they see the heavy improvement of Inferno?
-
I see that you changed Earth model to background map, plus you switched some smaller GTVA Capships to same shipset that is used by Blue Planet (I forgot the name of the author of this shipset). Maybe some new SCP effects too.
Nothing too fancy, but I definetly would play it while waiting for new release of INF:A and the one that we all wathing for - INF:SCP :D
-
Droid803 changed all GTVA capital ships, as far as I know.
-
No offense, but I'm not a big fan of this thing, because replacing INFR1 ships with other stuff isn't really what I call an upgrade. IMO you'd be better off doing your own mod, or at least replace them with ships that look similar. Additionally, I'm not too big a fan of the StratComm fleet (though they are good) and the fact that I've seen them pop up everywhere following BP's release isn't really that thrilling to me.
Oh, and I despise the music change. The original was a lot better.
-
It's a remix. That means that everything is modernized. Not like it's an attempt to make this mod Inferno-canon.
And what, you liked the japanese music? Sorry if it didn't seem to fit to FreeSpace/Inferno in my opinion. [/sarcasm]
-
I don't think that music is in-game anyway. Because there's no weapon effects.
But personally I really like the music for Nemesis from INFR1. Though, it maybe got on my nerves the 28th time around.
-
well, droid, i for one like it. cant wait to play it. BTW, i cant help mentioning how much i like strats ships along with you hecate.

What effing Japanese music?
I meant "Definitive". The one that sounded like The Star Child music (the one from Space Odyssey) but a lot better. The new one sounds like tEChNo mUsIC.
EDIT
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck i hope nobody saw that. :doubt:

This one was just for the teaser trailer. There is a longer version of the video, but with different music ( japanese-like ).
Anyone know where it's possible to get the high quality version of Definitive?
-
what's the name of the Jug in the scrensot?
-
Its a reskined GTVA Titan (on FSMods). Works surprisingly well as the Independance (the missions don't break after slight tweaking)

It'll be hard to beat the original music.
-
The mission is still using "Definitive". (its epic.)
Its just that I couldn't record with sound without severely massacring my framerate, so I had another song had to be slapped overtop (both times)

Maybe post it here too?

I never read comments on YouTube. They are always either "lol" "you suck" "free porn here>>>" or whatever. Most of the comments are inflammatory too.
