Title: FreeSpace 1 and Silent Threat

I have tried to read many of the threads posted here but till cannot quite figure this out. I can get Derelict to work as a mod in FSOpen but no matter what I do I cannot figure out where to put FS1  files to play using the open engine. Can anyone give us the exact location all files must be put including the movies. And correct me if I am wrong but they need converting right?

PS. I have FS1 and Silent Threat on ISO if that helps.

A. Forget about FreeSpace 1 and the original Silent Threat.

2. Download FSPort either with Turey's Installer or manually here (http://fsport.hard-light.net/). The FSPort files go to \freespace2\fsport\ and you use FSPort just like any other mod: selecting the appropriate subfolder (in this case \fsport\) as your mod from the Launcher. And then selecting the correct campaign from the in-game Campaign Room.

D. Lay off the caps. They make your post look immature.

In addition, if you can get the cutscenes (.mve files) from the ISOs, take them. Place them to \freespace2\fsport\data\movies\. This way you don't have to download them. And no. Converting them is not necessary: the FSO engine can read mve files just fine.

believe it or not i already downloaded all of the above items but just could not get them to appear in the capaign room, you have solved that thank you, as for the all caps etc sorry type it out with my 3 year old on my knee and one hand didn't even look and see it was in caps sorry about that and many thanks :nod:

Personally, I like playing Descent: FreeSpace over FSPort because the FS engine and the FS2_Open engine behave differently. You don't really get the REAL Descent: FreeSpace experience on FSPort.
