That's a little cold... even for you.

To be fair though, Napalm killed far more people than nukes.

Are you talking about actual napalm, or super napalm?

To be fair though, Napalm killed far more people than nukes.
To be more fair, and a good deal more detailed, the firebombing campaigns conducted in Tokyo and elsewhere caused far more damage and considerably more fatalities than Fat Man and Little Boy combined. Honestly, as bad as the atomic bombs were, the firebombing was a far more cruel and evil crime.

Whoops, sorry. Didn't mean to spill some serious in your spam.

Naah... just let him set about 4 km from center of Neutron Bomb explosion and let him die in 2 weeks from radiation :p

Do we posses the sufficient megaton to remove all of the Earth's surface crust yet? Until then, no holidays.

Mefustae, that was exactly my point, and I completely agree with you. I know it wasn't detailed, but it wasn't full blown spam.

Both the firebombing campaigns in Europe and Japan; and the atomic bombing of Japan were horrible actions, in an equally horrible war. I don't think the actual slaughter of hundreds of thousands of innocents is something that should be taken lightly. I was just briefly expressing my distaste for this thread in as few words as possible, because that's exactly what it deserves.

Oh, yeah, sorry Mars. Didn't mean you. I meant the thread in general.

Yeah, reading my post again now, it does seem a little snarky towards you. Not my intention at all, your post was the only useful one here. :)

Such a bad war. Too many evil things happened that the bad guys did. And even many things that the good guys did to end the war.

I've done much the same thing, so no worries

I'd be curious to know if more civilians died from the allies then the axis, in total. Don't get me wrong, what was going on in Germany was terrible, but I definitely wouldn't say there were any "good guys" involved in that war.

Thankyou! Too many people are completely blind to the age old truth that just because you're fighting an evil enemy, that doesn't necessarily mean you're good.

There was a whole bunch of tragedies going on with japans occupation of part of china back then too. Pretty much at the end of the war the allies had become just as bad as the axis. Allies went from stopping the holocaust to starting a holocaust with nukes and fire bombing. Pretty  much every big power in the war back then was involved in some kind of mass killing of innocents.

No! The good guys were completely moral, they didn't kill a single person in the entire war. It was only the bad guys who were killing people. The good guys never kill anybody.

Soo all soldiers which fight in war are bad guys because there were forced too kill enemies or be killed by own people (like  Rusians by NKWD)

How great was napalm B anyways? I know it burned longer but was it really any hotter? I was actually surprised at how cool napalm was. I expected like twice as hot as a regular ol'e vanilla campire but it doesn't come even close.

I'm actually conducting research on what it takes to kill people. My entire google search history is about the "averages" of temperature/force/electricity/pressure/bloodlosss/etc that it takes to kill people. I'm trying to get as realistic an estimate as possible.

Teaches me all sorts of neat stuff too. Like it takes ten times the voltage to generate enough amps to shut down your heart when you have dry, dusty skin then when you're still drying off from the pool. Those ohms make the difference. Not sure how to incorporate that though. Fire just seems better, electricity is too variable. Unless it's lightning. 30,000 degrees Celsius much? Wow. Theres got to be a reason people use such inefficient killing methods when much better alternatives are available. The difficulty is finding the balancing factors.

So yeah, how hot?
