If I make the number of hitpoints for a certain warship higher, it will probably increase it's hull strenght. But will there be any problems like blocking the game? I want to increase the number of hitpoints for a Hatshepsut class destroyer.

So please explain me the following:
Can I just increase the warships hull strength by increasing it's hitpoint number in the ships TBL file? Do I need to do anything else?

No you can increase the hit points to what you want to. I guess there is a limit somewhere. but so far the sathana and Colossus have 1 billion hit points.

Try that again, it's 1million hitpoints for the juggernaughts, 10mil for the volition bravos.  (Pirate ship)

10 million is actually enough, but with some monsters I saw on the forums, that couldn't be enough :)

Actually the VB has 10 billion.:D The Colossus and Sathanas have 1 million each.

I actually tried to kill the VB once. Surrounded it with 12 Sathanases, BFReds on, and full time compression. Waited 10 minutes for it to drop to 99%. Warped out. :)

Hmmm. Stronger than VB the force is. Mmmmm. Distrubance in the force there is. Modified beam weapons the disturbance is. 100 billion damage the beams have. Mmmmmm. :drevil:

By blocking do you mean that in the main campaign you will get stuck 'cos the Hatshepsut has not been destroyed ('cos of its increased hull strength) yet it should have been for the mission to run correctly? If so they you shouldn't have any problems in the main campaign. But you might make other user made missions easier/harder depending on the side the Hatshepsut is on.

All you need to do its change the hitpoint number in the .tbl file.

You should have no other problems by changing the hitpoints.

Thanks guys. :) I allready did it and it works ;)

I made a mission where is a beam fight between Hatshepsut and a Ravana. Well, I added some special beams I made for the Vasudans and Ravana couldn't possibly destroy the Hatshepsut. It was left on 75% One Helios does about 4% dammage so it takes 25 Helioses to take it down. :D

Neat eh? ;)
