Heya.
i have tryed to run this java installer.
after the directory choise and klick on next it will stop at 0%.
ill using debian etch, java version is build 1.6.0_07-b06. the test on javawebsite says my java is new and ok.
i have tryed to restart it, its the newest version of the jar (an older version of the jar i have tested gived me the updated file too ;))
i can see in the download path some dirs and txt files. 28K of data.
what can i do?
update: i have tryed the windows version with the newest wine version. it will stand at same position.
i think there is an problem with the random mirror choser.

Someone started a similar thread on the SCP board. Might be something with the servers or something. Please wait and give it a day or two, then try again. If problem persists, contact us again. kthxbye.
And I'm guessing your original intention was to start a thread, not a poll. Polls are queries where you present an opinion question and people then vote by choosing one or many of the options presented. Something like "What's your favourite FreeSpace ship?" followed by options such as "Herc II, Athena, Loki, ...". Just so you know from now on.

I figured out the problem and posted a detailed description here: http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,55756.0.html (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,55756.0.html).
It is actually a problem with the servers. Someone of the development team and/or the author of the installer should at least have a look at it.
Greetz,
Chris

The modified Installer, as well as instructions on manual installation, can be found here (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,55772.0.html). Once again, thank you for your contributions, Chris_Ls.
