JACK IN TEH CRACK FTW!!!
-
Chinese, kebab, känkky and Hesburger. In no particular order.
-
I wasn't aware chinese food was considered fast food :wtf:
-
At least we have several Chinese restaurants that also offer take away fast food.
Actually, there is a place called Take Away Fast Food. The rice is a bit dry but otherwise no complaints.
-
A lot of restrants have take out, but that doesn't make them fast food, the local mexican food restraunt does take out, its not fast food.
-
/me has voted.
Whoo! Second voter! :D
I don;t like MacDonalds, because their fries are too salty, I don't like KFC, because their chickens have shrunk, so I chose Burger King.

Lol, whats wrong with jack in the box?

So if we have a Chinese restaurant that primarily offers fast food, it's not fast food because... well, because it's not fast food.
Did I understand correctly?
-
Thats not exactly what i ment, but nobody here on hlp has ever heard of the places youve chosen. But whatever... lol
-
nobody here on hlp has ever heard of the places youve chosen.
O rly? So I'm suddenly the only Finn around here? Please. Don't generalize.
And on that topic, I've heard of McDonalds, Burger King, Arby's, KFC and Taco Bell. And of those companies, only the McDonalds actually has business establishments in this country.
So yeah. "lol".
-
Lol, whats wrong with jack in the box?
How should I know? There's no outlet in Singapore. :p
That also applies for all options except Taco Bell, Burger King, KFC and McDonald's.
-
LOL, you need to get Jack established in singapore then :P It's the bomb!!!!
-
OMG, I just came up with a brilliant idea!!! FAST FOOD DILIVERY!!! :D
-
Where's the option for "I don't eat this ****"?
-
Where's the option for "I don't eat this ****"?
Which do you prefer if you must choose between them?
-
Well, then: "Arby's", whatever that is. No such place exists in Australia, so it would be impossible for me to have any, thus making it my favorite fast food.
-
Hesburger beats McDonalds easily.. Though i very rarely if ever go to either of those places.
Kebab rolls (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:D%C3%BCr%C3%BCm_d%C3%B6nner.jpg) are the way to go...
-
Yeah, of the two prominent hamburger restaurant chains that operate in Finland, Hesburger beats the snot out of poor old Ronald McDonald, and doesn't have a retarded freaky clown as a mascot to boot.
Then there are the traditional grill stalts that serve hot dogs, meat pies and stuff, known as Finnish word "snagari" where the cueue is outside which makes for rather interesting debacles in the evenings when enough gentlemen arrive at the same time at sufficient state of inteoxication and try to figure out in which order the cueue should proceed. Even more interesting when ladies are present, intoxicated or not...
Aside from the extra excitement provided at certain times of year, week and night, I'd have to say that of the available options in Finland, the snagari products usually surpass the hamburger fast foods by a large margin, mainly because they aren't so industrial. If you do not count takeaway pizza/kebab/chinese/whatever, these places would be where I would get fast food rather than actual fast food restaurants... If takeaway pizzerias and kebab places count as fast food, then I quite like a good pizza or kebab.
To be honest though, I very much prefer making my own food. It isn't fast but I can manage with that when the result is superior to what I would get from restaurants. Pizzas included. Because I can generally make them better or of equal quality than what I get from pizzeria, and probably with less money too (and I can make moar of it). Now that I think of it, that actually applies to most other foods too. Except pea soup, which is only made properly in Finnish Defense Forces as an exception to most other foods offered there. :p
-
What is your favorite fast food?
Roadrunner.
Bastards to catch though. :p
-
what the hezzle is Jack in the box?
i voted burger king solely because of the xL Bacon double cheeseburgers i treat myself to two or three times a year.
gotta stay a lean, mean, beer machine
-
McDonalds and Burger King are cookie cutter cardboard junk. No.
Jack in the Box and Carls Jr. / Hardees are tasty, but likely to give you food poisoning. No.
Wendy's and Arby's are unquestionably awesome, but they cost more than 3 times as much as anywhere else for the same amount of food. No.
KFC is low quality chicken at an extremely high price. Not only no, but HELL NO.
Sonic's and In 'N Out are sparse in my area at best, and I don't feel like driving 14 miles to get a decent burger. No.
That leaves Taco Bell, which is affordable and decent quality in theory, but expensive and poor quality in practice (I hate California). No.
My choice? Panda Express. Cheap, tasty chinese food with a drive thru. Winner!
-
McDonalds is the cheapest, still has the best fries after all this damn time, makes at least a decent milkshake, and most importantly, it's the safest fast food here.
KFC would fail hard, except for the invention of popcorn chicken. It's expensive because they don't give you enough in the single-serving amount, but it's really pretty good.
With In-N-Out and Jack in the Box, you always have to tell them to "Hold the Hepatitis-C, please." (I'm only partially kidding, outbreaks are a semi-regular occurance at those chains here.) They also can't make decent fries to save their lies and the hamburgers aren't good enough to save them. Can't stand Burger King's burgers, finally found a Wendy's but it costs way the hell too much for no apparent gain over the local Mickey D's. Don't like Mexican, no Taco Bell for me. (Just my luck to live in SoCal.) Nearest Sonic's is a good twenty or thirty miles away in Ramona.

should of put burger bars, or some sort of mobile food bars. when i know i dont have time to cook something up, i just grab a plain quick veggie burger and an orange juice. and on other occasions i sometimes go for the sausage bacon, beef in a buttered roll with some brown sauce, it is a good thing i go to the gym every 2-3 days for 20 minutes of each weightlifting piece.
however i have never heard of these food servers before.
-
20 mins will do nothing except make you scrawny. go for an hour+ every other day.
:p
-
I'm quite satisfied with my ~15 minutes every two years ratio.
-
Singapore only has KFC, Macs, Pizza Hut, Taco. There's a Popeye at the airport, along with the only A&W left in S'pore. If it counts thought, I prefer Pastamania. Its pretty fast, and quite good.
-
Long John Silvers....
-
Man, fast food can go to hell.
-
well basically i dont eat in any of the above ,half dont exist in france so .... basically if i havent got time to eat something decent then ill get a sandwich from a snack shop, other than that ill picnic , so please can we have a "none of the above " option or a " i wouldnt eat this if i was paid" option.....
-
Long John Silvers....
Oh yes. That too. LJS rocks.
-
My favorite fast food has to be this one really good Mexican food place in downtown San Diego. Even though it's in a crappy neighborhood, it's this one place where all of these higher-class people go to stand in line for 45 minutes (the food is served quickly but there's a ****ton of people trying to get that stuff) to get this **** that tastes like heaven. A real hole in the wall, I guess.
-
i picked arby's, dispite the fact that i havent eaten at an arby's in the past 5 years.
-
Long John Silvers....
Thought they were more of a full-scale restaurant?
-
Oh, I forgot A&W! That is by far the best American fast food chain there is. Period.
But good luck finding one :(.
-
I hardly ever eat fast food anymore, but back when it was a more regular part of my diet (and I was poorer) my top-2 favorites without a doubt were Jack-in-the-Box, for the sourdough jack sandwich and the 99 cent tacos and Church's Fried Chicken (way better than KFC, imo), followed by Taco Cabana. Sadly, none of those places operate up in Massachusetts or NYC (places I've lived after becoming acquainted with them in San Antonio), so I only had a year to enjoy them. Then again, living in NYC, it's hard to miss fast food when there are so many quality slow food places within easy striking distance, in the last 2 weeks alone, I've eaten cuisines from about 10 different countries/regions. Hell yeah.
-
I second Herra Tohtori. Hesburger has usually been a lot better. But even that doesn't beat the Järvigrilli. Those old grills are treasures, quality and price. [Says a person who last ate today at McDonalds - But I was hungry after a 450 km car drive - the rented car had a 1.2 liter engine, by the way - it was raining, I was bicycling 10 kms back to home and had to eat something quickly, McD was the first restaurant I saw.] Why are their hamburgers always so watery?
I have once been in KFC (mysteriously that happened in Beijing, before that I didn't even know it existed!), didn't impress me much. It sounded more like "Traditional American food", not meaning the junk food to me in this case. What would I have given for a good roasted chicken served with real potatoes or pasta in there. Even more bizarre, the Chinese told me that it is a high class restaurant, only people who have a lotta money will eat there (though they might have been joking). Besides their acronym sounds more like a large airliner company - compare it to KLM.
Which gave me an idea, how would McDonnel & Douglas's DC9 sound like in context like this?

That name gives me shivers. Maybe because it gives me a mental picture of some ancient men's under pants that were worn in the cold times...
I think I'll go to sleep before this gets totally out of hand.

It's in no way shape or form a restaurant, and their food is great ;\

They sure present themselves like one, or used to. Honestly I can remember eating there a couple times and the food was pretty good (this though I dislike most seafood!), and it was a restaurant, so unless they changed really radically in the last five years or so...
-
I think there's a Popeye outlet at the Singapore Flyer.
My preference is Burger King. Their firesfries (strange, I thought I corrected it just now) aren't as heavily salted as McDonald's. :nervous:
-
Man you yanks and your crazy chain names. It's like playing Saints Row and San Andreas listening to this. Mr wangs/wongs
In chinatown was pretty cool for around a deep sea diver. (If Karajorma or Terran Emperor read this please correct the restaurants name as i forgot which is correct )
-
I think it was Mr Wong's but I'd need to walk past again to know for certain. :)
-
Fair play :)
Nice day, i'm off to the gym.
Ta ta.
-
What is Jack in the Box? I chose Pizza Hut, I love pizza.
-
Definitely Taco Bell. Food isn't the highest quality, but it's fast, cheap, and filling. And that's all that fast food is supposed to be.
-
Liquid Sealant is cheap fast and filling, but it ain't great for ya.
Too much fast food would be like filling a petrol engine with diesel..

Yeah. Talk about an upset stomach. :ick:

Durum Kebabs or Donors are definitely the best thing EVER.
Too bad they've never been seen on west coast USA. (if somebody HAS seen them PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me where and I will drive 1200 miles just to eat one)
But, the next best thing would be Arbys with Jack in the Crack close behind.
-
Half of the fast food chains mentioned in this thread are unknown to me.

Same here, but at least I can choose Burger King, which I've done. :D
A few days ago, I walked back home eating Tendergrill. It tasted nice, but it looks horrible. :drevil:

We'll, it's basicly a taco bell or KFC that serves seafood, so I think that counts as fast food.
-
What is Jack in the Box? I chose Pizza Hut, I love pizza.
AFAIK Jack In Da Box is only on the USA west coast. See them all over the place in Washington State. Never ate their food though.
Ronald Mc****ing Donald's is pretty nasty I think. I'll only have their milkshake if I have to stop at one. Wendies is slightly better but not worth their price. KFC has some decent stuff. Too bad it's all full of whatever junk they put in there to make you addicted to it, supposedly.
Oh, I forgot A&W! That is by far the best American fast food chain there is. Period.
A&W is awesome and totally gets my vote. Those who say McDonald's fries are the best have no idea. ;)
I just wish they were on the east coast. =/
-
Nuggets or a Jumbo Sausage and chips from a proper Fish and Chip shop!
-
I like A&W, and I agree with Mr. Future, good fish and chips gets my vote any day. There used to be a really good place around here, fresh cut potatoes, fresh fish from the bay etc, but they got so successful she opened a chain and now they get frozen stuff.
-
No way I'm eating this ****!
He voices what I'm starting to see McDonald's as. :blah:
