is there a maximum number of beam turrets that can be unlocked at one time in a given mission? I've been doing some balancing tests for a campaign i'm working on and ive noticed that some ships don't fire beams cept AAA type. More specificially the Lucifer and Demon. I have yet to see the demon fire off its beams in my test mission and ive only seen the lucifer fire its beams once as it got destroyed. None of the ships were moving and it was in range the entire time.

Well they will only fire within their FOV.

well yeah see thats just it... like i said the ships never moved yet the lucifer only fired its beams once as it died. it boggles me

What other ships were in the mission?

1 archangel, a couple of other vasudan cruisers i downloaded (they only have 2 or 3 beams). 1 luci, 1 demon, 1 lilith

I'm not sure if that was it or not. I deleted one of the cruisers (the missile vasudan missile cruiser by trashman) and everything started to go pew pew like it was sposed ta. That cruiser has multiple long range missile banks and can get a lock from a few thousand K away. That could have been it i spose.
