Title: Does Freespace Open Installer install Freespace 2 as well??

On the page where I download Freespace Open Installer, it says that " The most recent Installer includes: Retail Freespace 2, ..."  Does this mean that I don't need to have the original Freespace 2 installed because it will download and install it itself?

if we want to nitpick, the Installer doesn't actually "install" anything. It merely downloads stuff. That's the way this game works now. But yes. FreeSpace 2 can be downloaded with the Installer.

Thank you very much.  I tried "installing" it, but it initially didn't work, so I thought maybe I needed the original game already installed.  It turned out I just needed to install the OpenAl dll and now the game is working flawlessly.  Thanks.  It's such a great game!
