Hello all. Some may remember me as Joey_21 from wayyy back in the day aka that annoying noob who was enthusiastic about modding but failed horribly. ;)
-Fast forward through college years.-
I just recently happened to re-install FS2 and I decided to check out the action at good ole Hard Light. For the past hour or so I have been checking in on the SCP. I downloaded all of the basic files to try out the new features and I was just blown away. I fired it up at 1280x1024 with all of the new effects checked and my PC actually lagged a bit during gameplay. At any rate, it's completely gorgeous.

I may decide to stick around pending how things go IRL, etc. I'm loving what I'm seeing

Hmm...you seem familiar. :p
-
Looks like he prefers Rockeyes over Tempests...and he's either really good or on Very Easy.
That's all I have to say. ;) and that Hat looks good, I need to upgrade my computer.
-
You have to work pretty hard to do poorly on that mission...if you keep losing the Psamtik, you're probably doing it wrong. :p

I actually didn't bother with the ship loadout information. I was too anxious to see the new 3d goodness. ;) Mmmm
Also, I hadn't played in a while so I wasn't sure how good I would be. :o Very easy wins.
-
I remember you from the VBB. :)
-
I remember seeing this guy's name on Tech FreeSpace, along with a comment about the Boanerges bomber, back when I was like 12 and still browsing VolitionWatch...

:wtf:
How can you lose the Psamtik?
-
If you turn traitor and destroy the Iota transports, the Belisarius pulls a Koth and rams the Psamtik. You then get to join the NTF and assassinate Admiral Petrarch by slipping poison into his orange juice.
-
Orange-Tangerine actually.

That doesn't narrow it down very much. :P
Anyway, you were probably before my time, so welcome back.
-
Not really a n00b, more like an 0ld f4rt... :nervous:
-
 By now, probably.
-
I remember you Joey.

Oh, no? That's why I'm an advanced noob. Because I immediately admitted that I'd fail horribly in modding and never even tried.
-
Heh... oddly enough, i always respect your opinions, because even if you don't know how to solve a problem, you can still tell people how to solve their... er, problems. plus you have common sense.
-
Not to mention having a bit of a smart mouth... ;)

I did the same, only I only ever admitted it to myself.

Being good at tech help is important to the community too though. And the fact that you're answering a ton of questions means that I can spend time I'd spend on simple questions on actually improving the game or FREDding missions. :)

Indeed. Hence Lobo's custom title.

Oh, quiet down, guys. You're making me blush.

Incidentally, I'm pleased to notice that you've evolved from a loudmouth, ill-mannered, exclamation mark wielding, overly capitalizing brat to a well-behaving, polite and patient forumite. Keep it up. You'll go far.

I thought Titan just got bored with a mission and asked the mods to lock his post, that's all.

That's how he got his title. But trust me. At the beginning of his HLP career, his behaviour and posting style were annoying at best. And his ADHD was probably really kicking at the time. Now it seems he's a whole new person.

oddly enough, im actually better when a i don't take my meds. when i do, i just sit there like a braindead idiot until someone slaps me...
the problem is, have you ever noticed how i tend to sort of drop sentences? you know, end them with a ...
hmmm, i don't understad why i do that, but that's kind of how i think.
-
That's perfectly normal. I over use ellipses fro time to time as well. :D
Although it seems that most of my paragraphs end with smilies now. :nervous:

I have to force myself not to use ... too much. I would be using it all the time...
/me slaps himself
