Firstly thanks for checking my thread - I really dig that this game still has a strong community surrounding it.
I recently bought a new setup, with all the nice bits, and decided to play through FS2 again because it's awesome. However I'm getting that OpenAL32.dll error that's in a few threads. Unfortunately, my deleting and reinstalling of OpenAL has still not fixed the problem. I used the online installer program to download everything, and am getting the error. So I searched the forums and saw the solutions that have been posted (download OpenAL again, delete those dlls and reinstall, etc) but the error is still coming up when I run the launcher or any of the FSOpen executables.
Specifically, the launcher does actually open, but when I try to point it to an executable to run the game, I get the OpenAL32.dll error, and after that one, I get another error that says "Failed to read flag file".
I can dig up my computer's specs and whatnot if I need to but I'm not exactly the most computer-savvy guy.
Thanks in advance,
Bubbinska

Try removing any OpenAL files once more and then download and install the version linked in my signature.
