Small changes to the mesh (you will barely notice it. Made some previously blocky areas more smooth), changes to UV mapping and a new map + normal and glow map.
Optimized to use less textures compared to the old version.

It worked...uhm, the textures seem to dark to me...

Move the green light to the right, and the red to the left.
-
Dark in space is a good thing. Harder to see.
-
That's why I never liked most paintjobs, although the Apollo takes the cake.
-
I for one, would not like to have iinvisible wingmen.. Formation flying, parades atc. . . would end badly.
-
I'd rather fly a near-invisible ship rather than a big pink bullseye.

The AI doesn't give a damn if you're jet black or flourescent pink it'll shoot at you just the same.
And in the age of space combat how is colour going to be at all relevant anyway?

1. It makes your ship look cool.
2. Simple black is cheaper than combining red, blue, grey etc.
3. It makes your ship look cool.
4. Even when only in one case of a million - it just may save your ass when the enemy's sensors are down and it comes down to hand-aiming.

Given that it has positioning ligts, a glow map and that the FS nebular backgounds are rather pretty and abdundant, I wouldn't worry about not being able to see it.

If you need black to make your ship look cool your ship must be pretty crappy looking in the first place, like an overweight dude who wears black because it's more slimming. Personally if my ship looks cool I want to see the damn thing. That being said the Phoenix has some cool decals on it at least, and is really more of a dark grey than a black.
Hey Trashman are you working towards a specific goal in terms of a set number of ships and fighters? I notice a lot of your terran designs sort of have some similarities with each other in shape and stylizing. Or is it just the Trashman style and you do what you do?

Don't dis black ships, black and blue makes the most awesome Homeworld 2 ships.

:wtf: "It's a THEME!", don't mess with it...
Remember son, it BOXES FTW!!!
Ok that was a joke, seriously modern versions of YAMATO IIRC are a great inspiration to Trashman (as well as myself).
