Title: Define Titan Syndrome
Post by: Titan on September 17, 2008, 06:48:38 pm
Ok, i figured i've messed up so many times, i might as well figure out what every different person means by it.

BTW, a cookie to anyone who gets my biggest fault...

any more talk, and i would have to lie my way out of it...

Starting threads that are just asking for trouble would be one of them ;)

Oh, you're 13. You're young and inexperienced, this will get better with time. ;)

How olds the red head eight-TEEN? *crosses fingers for luck*

<reassuring big brotherly voice>
Titan you're ok, i got no beef with ya. Lack of confidence seems to be a bit of a fault though, you wouldn;t have made the thread otherwise. </reassuring big brotherly voice>

Also .:snipe: *CD silenced by act of admin to keep Titan sane

I thought Titan syndrome was having parents who deeply care about installing programs onto your (their) computer.

And Titan, AFAIK you're more mature than your average internet person. You do seem to have a lack of confidence... but that will change when you get la... a girlfriend.

Thats the first symptom but not the syndrome itself.

The syndrome itself is.... hmmm....

first post edited to hint towards the cookie. :p

Titan syndrome = the onset of puberty and social discomfort?
Title: Re: Define Titan Syndrome
Post by: Titan on September 17, 2008, 07:56:08 pm
hmmm... interesting. never quite thought of it like that.

and this isn't supposed to create pity for me, i was just wondering what exactly it means when people (someone, whose name i seriously can't remember, has used it several times...)

EDIT: er... say it...

But thirteen is the first teen year :wtf:

@ Titan, i don't really read into people using names. The only person i thought "bloody hell here we go  again " about was that moody jock. I loved winding him up :D

I'd say that, pretty much.

But thirteen is the first teen year :wtf:
And you're a teen again at 113.

So I won't be an Emo when I get a girlfriend...
And then there is someone saying that she will go out with me if I stop being such an Emo.

So that means that I have to ask someone to become my girlfriend and get her to accept it, then ask that person that wants to go out with me to go out with me, dump my "girlfriend", and do that under 30 seconds so that I won't feel guilty about it and become emo all again.

Ah, never going to work, this.

Isn't Titan syndrome when you start a thread to say you going to make a 140+ mission campaign and you want help, when asked what help you need , it's pretty much everything that needs to be done, (models, textures, effects, fredding, voice-acting etc.) and when you are told that everyone who has any of these skills is already busy on a mod or three, you give up that idea completely!  (See your custom titlte  :P )

I'd call that the "Generic n00b brat who thinks that now that he's heard of FRED, he can make FS3" syndrome.

Besides, Titan did actually do some stuff by himself with his project before RealityTM slapped him around a bit with a large trout.

True. I think I like him better as a 13 year old than I like me as a 13 year old.

I think everyone hates themselves as a 13 year old (not necessarily at the time mind you)

Heh, me and Mustang actually had most of the demo done for a retail campaign... taking place weeks after capella, a small task force in Laramis must defend against shivans and a new HoL... too bad i got obsessed with SWG just before we finished it (Yes, dark times indeed...)

About the thingy in the first post about lying... if I am interpreting things right, you are saying that you never lie.  Which is definatly not a flaw.  It is a verry good thing, one that I myself practice to the best of my ability.  Someone getting on you for that would be like someone getting on me for never cussing.

And also, as everyone else said, you are a very mature 13 years, and I often forget that you are so young untill you say something inexperienced and I think "Huh? ... oh, thats right ... he's 13."

I'll have to browse some of the other fs2 website forums to see if he still exists to satisfy my curiosity.

Big cookie for titan!

If titan were in alaska he'd probably be trampling all the trails in the forest in the dead of night with all of my friends drinking beer and ranting (the idea to rant going somewhere generally cool at night with tasty beer, but not enough to make people drunk). Titan's parents wouldn't shoot me, because he'd have a rootbeer :drevil:
