Every thread it seems?
-
except this one we must defend it from the pirates
-
Liiiitle too much grog, methinks. Happened right while I was in the middle of making a post...which I'm still not sure made it through.
-
Yeah. iT seems that only new threads evade it? idk
-
maybe this is the last airpocket left in our skupperd ship as it slowly sinks to davey jones's locker
-
Me thinks the pirate script took a broadside
-
Even the forums spit it out.

so we cant read, cant post, cant spam so ive only one question ..... whos hosting
-
Well Grognards and hosted support forums work as well. Everything else is toast.
TBP internals are working too. Maybe it's any forum that didn't have a post while the pirate script was active.
-
ok im out for whats left of the night gunna watch some p2p tv long live ppmate
-
I'm in the lobby waiting to play some multi.
Just tried the announcement thread which has no new posts today and it doesn't work either. Highlights does though. Tested the theory that sub forums were working but that's not the case either. Recent builds crashes.
-
ill be there
-
TBP internals are working too.
Internals are exempt from the script. It's anything that has the script period.
-
The pirate text script vomited? A MySQL problem, perhaps.
-
It's a tradition, HLP can't play a trick without it going horribly wrong at some point...
Was wondering when the shoe would drop ;)
-
Didn't the script work flawlessly last time? :wtf:
-

I take it the Great April Fools Disaster was before your time.

Ahh, good times, good times.
-
Well at least they did a backup last night.
-
Chances are the forum itself is fine, it's just the script layered over it that got fubared.
Will say this though, you see a lot less problems since Hard Light changed servers.
-
Oh well, I'll just wait and hopefully the forums will come back...
-
Strange the who's online thing shows people reading topics in some of the effected forums. I just tired one of the topics they were reading and and couldn't access it.
Yahoo spidies don't seem to have a problem.
-
It seems like this and only the restricted-access boards are working. 158th and TAP internals work fine, Grognards are fine, hosted support is fine. Did the talk like pirate scripts apply in those places?
-
Just has one of those evil thoughts. Since there is an interview forum the first interviewee should be the one who caused this. :pimp:
-
Okay this is getting really old. I want to check up on the forums dangit!
-
Yeah, I'd kind of like to read whether or not anyone else had major issues with the mission of Blue Planet that's currently destroying me (and it's the second to do so...*sigh*).
-
I move that we continue all inaccessible discussions on this board until this situation is resolved. :nervous:
-
In this forum, in this topic. But yeah--this stinks.
-
Its funny how this place still works, conveniently.
-
So, who actually is responsible for enabling the thing?
-
Not sure but they should be keel hulled :nervous:
-
Yarrr, HLP be smashed upon some craggy reef. Yarrr. Abandon ship ye scurvey dogs!
Lower te boats, we 'ead for te ports o' sector-game an' game warden, an' a bottle of rum!
-
OK, it's been 24 hours. Time to turn it off.
-
Uh huh. Anyways--it's probably since this forum was exempt from the script entirely? IDK really... but it seems that this is the only topic being posted in.

an' a bottle of rum!
I'm in if it's some Capt. Morgan.

Can you all see this topic?
http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,56530.0.html
If you can, I have verified that all threads affected by the Pirate script are now unusable.
-
Eye mayte and I think I know the scurvy dog that did the deed.
-
OK, it's been 24 hours. Time to turn it off.
Narrr, there be 3 hours left
-
Well, good thing its fixed :P
-

Well, it's broken again :doubt:
EDIT: Working now.
-
Working for me. Maybe something still cached on your end?

Seems to be working now...
-
Grah. *stabs randomly at the admins*
Somebody tried to edit the pirate filter, and instead broke it. :blah: This meant all forums which had the filter active (namely, most of the public forums) were inaccessible.
I wish I had known about this earlier. More than that, I wish the culprit had stuck around long enough be sure that his changes worked...
-
How do you know they weren't trying to break it?
-
I don't think any of the admins are that malicious. They may have wanted to change it slightly, or they may have wanted to modify it, but I doubt any of them wanted to break the forum.
And it's quite possible that it wasn't even one of the admins, that it was simply a bug. None of the functionality was actually changed; the only thing that happened is a few asterisks were added. This caused an error with the regexp parser.
-
I take it the Great April Fools Disaster was before your time.
Wuts that?
-
An0n, for a day, made people think he was an admin. Then, in a freakish accident, he became an admin. Yeahhhhhh--I hear it was bad. Very, very, bad.
-
Actually it was the admins (mainly Goober) pretending to be an0n the entire time.

The double-crosser double-crossed everyone. Ingenious.

Bit late of a reply, but I meant that they wanted to break the filter, not the forum.

/me looks at colecampbell666's title and goes :wtf:.
What kind of Custom Title is that?
