What it is ?
Solaris Terra is my first mod and mission editing attempt is take me 2 day , 10 blund, 20 beer :p for build it (the first build)
the first idea was to create a rpg whit the freespace engine but in work 2 thing change my mind
first : i hate rpg
secondly it is more simple to make a gta-like
I Was Wrong the RPG is more easy to make and the projet will be maybe a mix
so this is my prototype for a gta-like whit the freespace engine
what i need to play ? : my mod was build whit the inferno release 1 and Sol : A history upgraded due to some problem whit the TBL i merge SAH whit my mod so this help the compatibility you just need a inferno rR1 update and the custom build include in the release :yes:
How many ship you have in mod
All the SAH ship, INFA ship and many free model i try to make all sector custom to not have to much of Arcadia
where is the secret area ??

no, for the moment i focus on finding a job after that is to be 90 % chance that i will make a new one

hmmm.... FS really doesn't sound like it was built for this (though that and arcady fight stuff to the boss is all people seem to be able to compare it too, as a frustratingly learned as i have now spent over 10 hours total trying to get my friend to understand what FS is about...)
but i did see this awesome map for BF2 that is actually a 6+ hour RPG... with saves...

lol well for now it more a open solar system whit mission and a back ground story for now if i cant just make a open ''solar system'' (is still only earth and moon ) it's Will be good for the challenge :nod:

i need some time to figure how the travel system work betwen earth an the moon and how make alpha one docking .
now i have find a special built so after i learn how works whit variable betwen mission.

maybe next week i realise the version 0.2
in 0.2 you will have
custom loading screen
a custom FSO and Fred executable
a full team loadout
no ship change between system (but you need to setup you weapon at each briefing sorry)
the secret area Will be improve a bit
is still some bug whit the ship management some time its work some time not
for the moment i don't see how make the same whit weapon :shaking:
and my vacation week finish Monday :doubt:

What with all the interest, (though I still think it's a terrible concept considering what the engine is made for) i'm surprised it hasn't happened sooner. I'll give it a look later though.

now I'm the middle of my second semester and rushing whit all the homework
but i allways have a small think for my baby
No version update for now i have 3 sub campaign mission to write and script and the next release is out :yes:

has i have see of the download only 3 pepoles have take it a moth ago.
so i thinks I'm the one play it the most ^^
for now its only a free map betwen moon and earth (i think the 0.2 have many loadout issue) you have 1 or 2 docking point and a secret area for some fun (i have real plan for this area in future)
More the story writing advance more i think about more advance gameplay
like a full one year story or a full carers for the charter whit EA medal and promotion
i still thinks to a possible add-on whit a other point of view story (like EAI ,pirate or mercenaries)
i have the chance to have a experimental build can give me the possibilities of a EXP point system or money one (the money one is to difficult to integrate for now)
you can try it now or wait for my next release maybe around Xmas's i have make some fix and add a ''mission'' (sub campaign if you like)

I'm not dead i'm just really busy.
i have rewrite all the travel system and change allot the design of the campaign tree
i have add several ship and 2 new sector (the place older of mercury and Venus)
i have put a mission is available a each 5 min of the hours you pass in the earth sector so use the time compression and the Solaris will eventually warp in (you need to bypass the second mission and this option don't work on the third one )
the next step will be finish the solaris mission and make the XP system.
small message to karajorma : if you have a updated version off the engine whit the variable for the team loadout it will be cool :P
