Haaaaargh!!! I bought it yesterday, I think I'm on the last russian^mssion (coz I get to kill Yuri), but I don't have the time to establish my base!!! How the hell can you fight those tank, drone, dogs, mind controllers, antiAA, etc waves that pops u^p after only a few minutes??? HELLLLLLP!!!!
-
you just build your base and destroy them, oh and use those bunkers put a few men in them (good defense, and capture those tech centers for money
-
yeah, put your infantry in buildings...
-
You have to move fast though. Once you have a viable defense, I liked to build around 5 or 6 of those laser tanks and systematically go around destroying each base. You can easily wipe out base defenses, but keep a repair IFV near you so you can repair if under attack by tanks.

what? russians don't have this.

As others have said, I just built a ton of conscripts and put them in the buildings around the starting area. They usually stay alive until you can build some tesla coils. Attack the guy with some apocalypse tanks; those things are practically invincible once they get star-veteran status.

pb is that there's all those drones, and once they get to the tanks... I can't buy everything in such a short lap of time, and a repair facility is not in my priority list.

Which mission is this exactly? I've got a surefire winning solution for all RA2 and Yuri missions, just clarify which mission and what stage your at :)

I said it in the first post: probably the last mission, coz I have to destroy the Kremlin, on Russian side. I think it's called red revolution or something like that.

are u talking about Redalert2 or Yuri's Revenge?

thats the last.. never could beat it.. try getting a nuke and a bunch of flak guns to protect from a kirov rush

her... maybe i should have played in easy :p
-
I found that mission really easy actually (and I was playing on hard); those conscripts can usually beat the terror drones when in masses because the drone only kills one guy out of around 50 before he dies. If the drones keep killing your apocalypse tanks when attacking the enemy base, use 7 or 8 kirovs instead. The enemy has flak cannons but they hardly do anything to Kirovs; you can bomb the flaks without taking much damage. Oh yeah, one more thing: if you can't seem to beat it, save every minute or so and just load the older game if something goes wrong.:D
BTW I think is actually the second-to-last mission; the last one is where you blow up the allied bases. Or did you already take out the allies? Can't remember; it's been a while since I played that...
-
It's the 2nd to last mission, but I think it deserves to be the last. The last mission is when u take out the Chronosphere in Alaska. Personally I found that mission easier than this one (hence why I like this one to be the last, it also has a more fitting ending).
-
one sec, im getting confused now cos ive finished Yuri's revenge too. What exactly r u doing in this mission? Ur soviet and killing the Kremlin? If so, why?

Original RA2
Soviets - Red Revolution
basically Yuri turned traitor and you get to nuke him
-
well I finally beat it took me about 10 tries but the kremlin has been obliterated
-
I took two tries on that mission. First time, didn't know how many tanks, dogs and terror drones were coming my way so I was never prepared for it. Second time was the charm. Built 8 to 10 Kirovs and I obliterated everything. Thos mind control freaks couldn't control them, so I just bombed the entire Kremlin straight to hell.
In my base, I have like a huge mass of Apocalypse Tanks, Tesla Coils and Flak Guns. They could never get through.
-
hmm, yeah, I crushed the Kremlin too :D
It's not the last mission anyway, gotta destroy the chronosphere now :D
-
I need that mission just, i had only one conscript alive, and 8 seconds until my last nuke would hit. It hit, and i won the mission. Chronosphere mission was easy.
-
yes, I think the nuke makes things too easy in fact... just for fun, I didn't use it on the kremlin. Not that 50 apocalypses are less dangerous...
-
Just have to get your base started, then kill the small Allied army that warps in. The mission is really easy after that.
